The new energy photovoltaic industry was built as a hundred billion industry and led to the growth of various economic indicators in Xinyu. Take 2011 as an example, LDK turned over 1 billion 360 million yuan in tax revenue and became the largest financial contribution in Xinyu. Around LDK, a large number of photovoltaic industry chain upstream and downstream enterprises in Xinyu formed a large-scale photovoltaic industry cluster. In 2011, the added value of the whole industry reached 12 billion 16 million yuan, an increase of 28.8%, accounting for 33.9% of the industry and 49.6% of the contribution. It contributed more to the economy than Xinyu's other leading industry, iron and steel.

However, after 2011, as the United States carried out "double reverse" to China's photovoltaic industry, the photovoltaic industry suffered a cold spell. LDK has been losing money for a long time.

A person in charge of the new energy industry alliance of Xinyu City letter committee told reporters that the Xinyu municipal government has set up a new energy industry alliance, a new material industry alliance and an iron and steel industry alliance in order to support these major pillar industries. "The alliance only plays some peripheral coordination and guidance role, and can not help these enterprises in real terms."

In August 2012, Xinyu launched the signing ceremony of 100 outdoor lighting enterprises of "China outdoor lighting capital". Beside the Jiangkou Reservoir scenic area, Xinyu launched the Jiangkou Reservoir boulder culture and creative garden project. As a key construction project in Xinyu, it covers an area of about 460 mu, with a planned construction area of 80 thousand square meters, with a total investment of 400 million yuan. Xinyu has also issued a policy support method for Boulder culture and creative park. In the tens of kilometers away from Xinyu, the establishment of a high standard cultural and creative garden can lead to the prosperity and development of the local cultural industry.

A cultural official in Xinyu believes that the cultural industry is not collecting a group of artists and a group of works of art, but also displaying them in a park. It is an exhibition of art, not a cultural industry. "The real cultural industry is to drive ordinary people to consume cultural products and form a certain economic chain."

An official from Xinyu told reporters that although the volume of Xinyu's Hemp textile industry is not large, relying on traditional advantages and integrating modern culture and creativity, there must be broad market space.
