Last year, the first international standard ISO15625:2014 of China's silk industry, which was set up by our country, was issued officially.
This is not only the first international standard of ISO in the silk field, but also the first international standard of China's silk industry.
This standard specifies the test method for detecting defects and evenness evenness of raw silk, which is composed of capacitance, photoelectric and multi spindle raw silk electronic testing equipment, and provides general requirements and special requirements for testing principles, requirements for testing instruments, classification and calculation of defects, test conditions and parameter settings, test procedures and so on.

It is pointed out that the promulgation and implementation of this standard will provide technical guidance and guidelines for the electronic inspection of raw silk quality in the world silk industry. At the same time, the steady progress of industry standardization has promoted the international discourse right of China's silk standard.

Raw silk is an important primary product in the Chinese silk industry. It is also a crucial link in the silk and cocoon industry chain. It not only involves the input and output of 10 million mu mulberry fields and 20 million silkworm farmers, but also the vital interests of more than 700 Reeling Enterprises and about 300000 workers, and is closely related to the development prospects of the silk final products.
At present, China's annual output of raw silk is about 120 thousand tons, accounting for about 80% of the world's total output, and exports account for about 90% of international trade. It is the only resource commodity that China monopolized in the international market, representing the image and status of China's silk industry in the international arena.
In the international silk industry, the traditional blackboard inspection method, which has a subjective influence on inspectors, has always been used in judging the quality of raw silk (evenness and evenness, and the number of defects).
Although this method is intuitive and image, it can conveniently classify different types of defects and feed them back to production enterprises to help reeling enterprises improve their product quality, but the automation level is not high. The inspection process is also susceptible to the influence of inspectors' vision, quality, experience and emotions, and can not objectively obtain the quality of raw silk, defects and so on.
A person in charge of a silk enterprise in Zhejiang told reporters that in the process of raw silk inspection, because of the "blackboard inspection" method, the interference factors were large and the rate of false positives was high.
In addition, the traditional method is also destructive to the tested silk.
Today, in the world's major raw silk production countries, the application of the blackboard inspection is not only in China, but also in Brazil, India, Japan, Italy, etc. in the world's major raw silk consumption countries, the inspection standards for raw silk imported from Japan, Korea and other Southeast Asian countries and China's Hongkong region are mainly based on the inspection of blackboard.
However, with the rapid development of modern electronic detection technology and the popularity of high-speed looms, the electronic detection means of textile materials are constantly upgrading. In China's textile industry, the inspection of other specialties (cotton, wool, chemical fiber, etc.) has been popularized by the use of electronic detection technology.
The electronic inspection of raw silk is the development direction of China's raw silk quality in the future. It can not only reduce human error, but also improve China's authoritative position in international raw silk trade.

Quality, since the 80s of last century, some raw silk inspection institutions in China, Japan and Europe and silk scientific research institutes began to study the electronic detection of raw silk.
Under the strong support of government departments at all levels and under the guidance of the China Silk Association, China has set up a research group of Chinese raw silk electronic inspection standards, which is led by the National Silk Standardization Technical Committee, by the inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Zhejiang entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Zhejiang Kai Xi Ya international Limited by Share Ltd, Zhejiang Silk Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and Soochow University.
The project group combines the characteristics of electronic detection of raw silk and previous research experience, has made a lot of research work in the field of electronic detection equipment and test methods of raw silk, and made breakthroughs. It has determined the electronic detection technology route of raw silk and has been recognized by foreign silk circles.
The project group has made a lot of research and improvement work on sensor selection, defects, dry CV% index setting, selection of tension device, testing rack, test parameters, sampling quantity and so on, and has achieved some results. A new multi spindle second generation raw silk electronic detector with photoelectric and capacitive sensing technology has been developed, which can test raw silk size variation and test all kinds of defects of raw silk.
The instrument can detect raw silk defects (large, medium and small), coarse, detail, snow roughness, CV1cm%, CV5m%, CV50m% and so on.
In September 2009, on the basis of a large number of experiments and the revision of the draft standard, Zhou Ying, Secretary General of the National Silk Standardization Technical Committee, proposed to the ISO the proposal to develop the electronic test methods and grading standards for raw silk at the annual meeting of ISO/TC38, which was approved by the general assembly.
In the 5 years of standard development, the project group has gone through 7 development stages stipulated by the ISO guidelines. It has organized or participated in the ISO international standard meeting of the project 5 times. It has carried out nearly 1000 batches of traditional blackboard and electronic detection comparison, electronic test international comparison precision test, comparison of raw silk weaving with electronic detection and traditional detection, and electronic detection and comparison of raw silk produced in Brazil, Japan, India and other countries.
The 4 rounds of the project were passed by high votes in the ISO/TC38/SC23 member countries, and were officially released by ISO in May 1, 2014.
A professional who participated in the standard setting told reporters that the new standard as a method standard has been promulgated. Next, according to the relevant accumulation data of the industry, the corresponding product standards will be worked out to make it more perfect.

The electronic detection technology of raw silk in China has been studied for more than 30 years.
For this long process, Yang Yongyuan regrets that from the feasibility analysis to the formation of sampling theory, from the establishment of technological routes to the birth of instruments and equipment, many silk experts, scholars and scientific researchers have gathered painstaking efforts and sweat.
This is of great significance for improving the quality of raw silk in various countries in the world, promoting trade and economic exchanges among various countries, and enhancing the influence of China's silk world.
Jiangsu Susi stock is a member of the standard committee. The company staff said that the new international standard has established the raw silk detection method. Because of the unified standard, the market order has been standardized, so that the interests of the excellent silk enterprises can be effectively guaranteed.
With the introduction of international standards, the National Silk Standardization Technical Committee in 2014 has done a lot of effective work in promoting other standardization construction in the whole industry.
Up to now, the Silk Standard Commission has 74 standardized management standards, including 23 national standards and 51 industry standards, basically forming a standardized system of silk industry, which combines national standards with line standards, basic standards, standard methods and product standards, basic age structure and complete coverage.
Yang Yongyuan emphasized that the silk industry standard is the commanding height of the industry technology. The standard is not only expressed in the technical level, but also penetrated into all aspects of silk enterprises, industries and national interests.
Therefore, the formulation and implementation of industry standards is very important for promoting technological innovation, regulating consumption and fair trade.
