    Optimizing carding equipment to improve yarn quality

    With the development and the progress of science and technology, all kinds of differentiated spinning fibers have been developed and new cotton spinning products have been developed in an endless stream.

    It has been proved by practice that the carding process as a spinning heart is particularly important in improving the quality of differential fiber yarns, especially the selection and matching of special equipment in carding machine parts.

    Through years of exploration and practice, our company has summed up a set of production experience from the selection of equipment, process configuration and the impact on product quality in the development of differentiated fiber based products.

    Differential fiber materials

    The basic performance of the carding machine is quite different. First, we should consider whether it can produce normally on the carding machine. There is no such thing as winding tin Lin, doffer pfer difficulty, cotton net falling down, or poor quality of cotton web, and difficulty in striping.

    Therefore, the selection of carding equipment should not only consider quality, but also consider the applicability of various fibers to ensure normal production.

    Through long-term tests, the selection of our combing equipment is mainly based on the clothing of Nantong Jinlun, Swiss Graff, Japan Jinjing and other manufacturers. There are also some mature experiences in the selection of carding equipment specifications.

    Cylinder clothing

    Xilin card clothing is the key to all the carding machines. It bears the main functions of carding. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the selection of Xilin card clothing, including the material, specification and type of card clothing and processing technology of card clothing. It is suitable for the development of high speed and high yield carding machine, and at the same time, it is also suitable for diversified production requirements.

    In the specifications of card clothing, although we produce differential fibers, we insist on cotton based card clothing. Its technical characteristics should conform to the basic requirements of "short, shallow, sharp, thin, dense and small". Generally it is 20 series. The control of tooth density is not less than 800 teeth / square inch. The thickness of the base of the gear is 0.4 to 0.5 millimeters. The working angle is generally controlled at 60 degrees. At the same time, the pverse tooth density is adopted to make the fibers fully combed and mixed, so as to reduce the bundle like fibers and improve the single fiber state of the fibers.

    In this case, the yarn indexes are relatively good, especially the neps and yarn defects.

    From the experimental data of Table 1, it can be seen that when other production conditions are same, when the density of cylinder clothing is relatively large, the neps and A1 defects of +200% yarn are lower than half of the other conditions.

      

    Flat clothing

    The selection of flat clothing should be matched with the cylinder clothing. It is necessary to ensure the hardness and wear resistance of the needle tip of the flat clothing, while ensuring the bending resistance of the needle, avoiding the phenomenon that the card clothing is damaged when the card clothing is straightened out during the carding process.

    In the arrangement of needle rows, the density is generally denser and the density is more than 340~420 stitches per square inch.

    Table 2 is the contrast test of our company in selecting different sizes of flat clothing. It can be seen from the test results that the proper increase of the density of the cover plate will play a certain role in improving the yarn quality.

    Doffer clothing

    In general, the small craft angle of the doffer clothing is favorable for the pfer and stripping of the fibers, and the relatively slightly higher circular arc tooth profile is applied to the height of the needle teeth, so as to increase the capacity of the fibers between the teeth and increase the holding force of the fibers, thereby enhancing the pfer of the fibers, and at the same time, playing the role of guiding the air flow generated by the high-speed rotation of the cylinder.

    For the differential fiber with relatively poor cohesion between fibers, in order to effectively improve the pfer of fibers, the currently launched doffer clothing with side grooves is being gradually used. For this card clothing, our company has carried out related experiments (see Table 3).

    The yarn index of the card clothing with grooves is obviously improved, especially the +200% neps and A1 defects.

    It has been proved by practice that this kind of card clothing is more effective for the holding type fiber. The phenomenon of cotton net in the doffer triangle area can be well solved, thus reducing the occurrence of defects such as unevenness of raw sliver and thick and thin sections.

    Additional carding element

    The additional carding elements mainly include front and back fixed cover plates and carding boards. Carding machines can obtain very good carding effect after using the additional comb elements. This is also the high yield at present.

    In addition, the cotton web cleaner should be added to fix the cover before and after the installation, so as to increase the combing effect and the discharge of short fiber.

    When producing differential fibers, the selection of the stitching density of the additional carding elements is generally controlled by 400~600 teeth / square inches. The rear fixed cover is generally controlled in 200~300 teeth / square inches, and the preset plate is generally controlled at 50 teeth.

    The rear fixed cover plate has a low density and is convenient for carding large bundled fibers. When the fiber enters the front fixed cover plate, because most of the fibers are in a single fiber state, a fine comb is needed at this time, so the density of the front fixed cover plate should be relatively large, and the carding spacing should be controlled too small.

    In view of our company's model, because of the original fixed front and back cover, we have carried out a lot of experiments on the choice of its density. The results are shown in Table 4.

    Under other experimental conditions, the density of the fixed cover before and after adjustment has a great effect on the yarn quality.

    Needle roller

    The choice of the roller saw blade is mainly to pay attention to the size of the working angle. When the differential fiber is produced, the control is generally larger. This will help reduce the damage and grip of the fiber. Many manufacturers have adopted self-locking rack on the current high production carding machine to strengthen the grip of fiber and cotton bundles and improve the fiber pfer.

    At the same time, the rack can be adjusted on the lateral density, thereby reducing the impact on cylinder clothing.

    After the above experiments, the matching of various carding equipment selected by our company is summarized in Table 5.

    With the rapid development of various new textile fibers, most of the new fibers are spinnless than traditional cotton fibers or conventional chemical fibers.

    When we choose the type, special equipment and clothing, we should make sure that the varieties are mutually balanced. We must ensure that the workshops are well done. We also need to continuously optimize the process to meet the requirements of one kind of needle clothing and meet the needs of many varieties.

    The selection of differential fiber combing equipment ensures the smooth carding of fibers while ensuring smooth carding.

    After carding equipment is determined, the process of carding process is very important, and it is also an important means to improve product quality.

    The reasonable maintenance of carding equipment is the basis of producing differentiated fibers. Therefore, the management and maintenance of carding equipment should not be neglected.

    The emergence of new differential fibers also puts forward higher requirements for the development of carding equipment in our spinning machinery manufacturers.
