What color clothes are the coolest? 15 random people were surveyed by the press, and 12 of them thought that it was the coolest to wear white or light coloured clothes in summer.

However, the answer given by Peng Shixiong is red.

In order to find the answer to this question intuitively, we carried out a field experiment.

The inspector bought two short sleeved cotton t-shirts of the same style but different colors in a clothing store, one white and the other red.

On the afternoon of 8, 3 o'clock, the test personnel began to carry out experiments.

He exposed two pieces of clothing to the sun and put a thermometer under the clothes to observe the temperature change inside the clothes.

The starting temperature of the thermometer is 29 degrees Celsius.

Under the sun's exposure, the temperature of two clothes rose rapidly. After five minutes, the temperature of the thermometer under white clothes and red clothes was 34.5 degrees Celsius and 37 degrees Celsius respectively.

20 minutes later, the thermometer readings under two clothes were reversed. The White was 36 degrees Celsius, and the red would be 33.5 degrees Celsius.

Suggestion: wear red clothes and sunscreen.

Peng Shixiong explained the reason for this experiment: "because the longest wavelength of red light can absorb ultraviolet rays in sunlight, the best sunscreen effect is."

Peng Shixiong said that other colors absorb ultraviolet light relatively weak, light colored clothing, although it can reflect some ultraviolet light, but the ability to absorb ultraviolet light is not good.

In other words, ultraviolet rays will burn through the clothes to the skin, and more likely to burn the skin.

Therefore, if it is in the sun for a long time, it is cool to wear white clothes and not wear red clothes.

At the same time, white clothes may also contain fluorescent whitening agents, which will reflect harmful light to the face.

On the contrary, the heat absorbed by the red and some dark clothes can become the power of convection in the clothing. The convection of the air inside the clothes can take away the sweat and some of the heat from the skin, and the body will feel cool.

Generally speaking, summer wear dark clothes such as red or navy blue can play a better sunscreen effect, and at the same time, it will also feel more cool.

Fast drying clothes are the coolest to wear?

The result is that the silk dress is the coolest in Chongqing.

Experiment: in summer, many people like to wear clothes with quick drying function, because such clothes are very light, and they can quickly dry after wet.

However, in Chongqing, if you wear clothes with fast drying function, you may get hotter.

The reason is that such clothes are fast drying, but the moisture absorption performance is very poor. After sweating, sweat is easy to stick on the skin and make people feel sick.

In view of this statement, the inspectors made two comparative experiments.

First of all, the test personnel will have fast drying function of clothing fabrics and pure cotton fabric, to compare the water absorbency.

After that, the inspectors put two samples into the constant temperature laboratory for testing.

The laboratory temperature is constant at 22 degrees Celsius, and the relative humidity is kept at 68%.

After 24 hours, the samples were removed from each laboratory by 100 grams and taken away from the laboratory.

The inspector dried two pieces of 100 grams of samples and weighed them separately.

Results the weight of fast drying fabric samples is 99.6 grams, and the weight of pure cotton and cotton samples is 92 grams.

The experimental results show that 100 grams of pure cotton fabric can absorb 8 grams of moisture, while 100 grams of fast drying fabric can only absorb 0.4 grams of moisture.

Suggestion: summer is suitable for wearing pure cotton and silk clothes.

Peng Shixiong said, fast drying fabric is mainly chemical fiber polyester, although this fabric is light and fast drying function, but its water absorption and air permeability are not good, it is prone to discomfort in Chongqing under the humid and hot weather in summer.

Relatively speaking, the air permeability and water absorption of pure cotton are good, the people in the cotton clothing in Chongqing summer, will feel cooler.

"Silk, cotton, linen and other natural fibers are good summer clothes."

Peng Shixiong said that mulberry silk, also known as silk fabrics, has good skin affinity and hygroscopicity. It will feel cool when it is dressed. It is one of the coolest summer clothes to wear.

Peng Shixiong finally suggested that when people buy summer clothes, they should try to design loose clothes such as collar, sleeve, trouser legs and other openings.

Such clothing can wear a larger blast when walking, and it will feel more cool.

In summer, it is even hotter to fight "bare carcass".

In the summer, many male compatriots like to be bare handed.

But Peng Shixiong cautioned that when the temperature was close to or exceeded human body temperature (around 36.8 degrees Celsius), shirtless was not only cool but also hotter.

Peng Shixiong explained that only when the skin temperature is higher than the ambient temperature can it increase the skin's radiation and conduction heat.

In summer, temperatures generally reach or exceed 37 degrees. The skin can not only dissipate heat, but absorb heat from the external environment.

Therefore, wearing a cool clothes in summer is the first choice.
