Leather Enterprises To Invest In Kampuchea Increased Enthusiasm

The Kampuchea Sihanouk economic special zone (Jiaxing) investment promotion conference was jointly sponsored by Jiaxing Business Bureau and Wuxi Business Bureau. The leaders of nearly 60 enterprises in the city participated in the promotion conference. According to introducing, Kampuchea has deep traditional friendship with China, and the political trust between China and Cambodia is high.

At the same time, the political situation in Kampuchea is stable, the security situation is good, there is no racial conflict; 90% of the people in China believe in Buddhism, and the humanity is mild and simple; the market is highly liberalized.

The Kampuchea government also encourages foreign investment and does not control foreign exchange.

Kampuchea's low labor cost is also an important factor in attracting investment in China.

It is understood that the minimum wage in Kampuchea is 128 US dollars per month, and the monthly benefits are 180 US dollars. Therefore, for labor-intensive enterprises, there are great advantages to invest in Cambodia.

On the market side, Kampuchea is a member of ASEAN, and ASEAN members impose zero tariffs on each other.

In addition, Kampuchea, as a relatively backward country, can enjoy preferential trade preferential policies and additional tariff reduction concessions granted by developed countries such as Europe and the United States.

The Sihanouk port special economic zone in Kampuchea, as a Sino foreign economic and trade cooperation zone jointly built by Chinese and Cambodian enterprises, has also become a platform for many Chinese enterprises to go abroad.

It is understood that the park has introduced 85 enterprises, including industry and service industry, from China, Europe and America, Japan and other countries and regions, attracting 12 thousand employees from Kampuchea.

Up to now, 8 enterprises in Kampuchea have invested in Haining, and the total investment is over 100 million US dollars, of which 4 enterprises are located in the special economic zone of Sihanouk.

As early as in 2012 and 2013, Haining's Noah Ya group's Shanghai leather industry and Ouyi beauty sofa invested 3 million US dollars and 8 million US dollars respectively in the Kampuchea port special economic zone of Sihanouk, and set up production and processing enterprises, mainly engaged in the production and sale of leather products such as sofa, sofa covers, bags and so on.

On the basis of the steady development of overseas companies, in the second half of 2013, Ou Noah group made great efforts to jointly invest $56 million 770 thousand with Dayuan holding group to develop 1500 industrial parks in Zhejiang port special economic zone of Kampuchea. The project is now developing in Zhejiang.

Under the impetus of Ou noya, many traditional manufacturing enterprises in Haining have gone to Cambodia.

In 2013, Haining new Hongyang furniture and Mongolian slave group opened factories in the Sihanouk special economic zone and Phnom Penh. It is worth mentioning that the Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., established by the Agricultural Development Company Limited, is mainly engaged in planting, processing and import and export of rice, with a total investment of US $30 million. After completion, it covers an area of 20 thousand hectares and produces an annual output of 300 thousand tons. This is another "go out" agricultural project for Haining enterprises after investing in soybean planting projects outside Kampuchea.

The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce said that with the implementation of the major national strategy of "one belt and one road", our city will seize the opportunity to accelerate the pace of "going out" and give full play to the advantages of low labor costs, abundant raw materials and limited export restrictions in Southeast Asian and Central Asian countries, and actively carry out industrial investment, establish production and processing bases, and avoid trade barriers.

At the same time, we should actively support enterprises in contracting foreign projects, speed up marketing network construction and expand resource cooperation and development.
