2015 China International Fashion Creative Design Competition Shortlisted

After the end of the annual competition, many of the winners will have the following questions: "why did they not enter the competition?" and "where are we inferior to them?" for this reason, China textile daily will launch a series of reports of the 30 finalists in the competition. In Jiang Liping's view, style is the most important part in the design of clothing.

"At the beginning of the design, I drew many lines of manuscripts, which were very self-contained and fit to the human body at the beginning. In addition, there were many segmentation designs in the structure, hoping to show the beauty of women's curves and highlight the complicated changes in styles.

However, when I return to the theme of "seeing the plain and plain", I negate the style that I painted before, because I need to convey the idea of simplicity and return to innocence of Taoism. Only by making the wearer feel comfortable and relaxed is the most essential beauty of clothing, rather than floating outside the form of the product.

Jiang Liping told the China textile daily reporter: "usually, I mainly accumulate the design through watching fashion shows, magazines and recording inspiration.

Fashion shows and magazines enable me to master quickly.

And recording inspiration can make me more leaping and unconstrained in design.

The inspiration here includes architecture, artwork, texture, and so on, which provide me with a broader design space.

In the process of design, Jiang Liping will be faced with a problem.

"This may be related to personality, because I am more stubborn.

When you design, you often get stuck at one point, for example, when I think of a series of clothes.

When using black, white and grey to match the theme, you will always adjust the brightness in this color range without trying other color matching.

This problem once plagued me for a long time until one day I realized the problem and consciously made myself jump out of the natural thinking, trying and changing more slowly before I got better.

Fang Yun told the China textile daily reporter that in the design process, she considered the most fabric problem.

This is mainly because the main colors of the clothes designed are black. Only by using different textures, techniques and fabrics that are reconstituted by texture, can more innovations and changes be made to the works.

"Fashion design is a commodity, and ultimately to meet the needs of people in the image of dress, so I will give priority to customer acceptance and work cost, and then according to the needs of customers to make fabrics, version and color."

Li Weihong revealed that he would normally watch some fashion magazines and international big press conferences, and regularly visit various textile markets, looking for the latest fabrics, and making a reserve for future design.

"It is estimated that it is high and low!" Li Weihong said with self mockery. Sometimes he had some ideas about some styles, but he could not start.

In order to overcome this problem, he will find some relevant style materials, and consult with a senior printer, and then sum up his experience and find solutions in his continuous practice.
