Sixty-six years ago, the birth of new China began.

A new era of history has opened a new journey for the Chinese people to pursue a happy life.

Tonight, we solemnly celebrate the birthday of the Republic. The people of all nationalities in the country bless our motherland in a colorful way.

Here, on behalf of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, I would like to extend congratulations to the people of all ethnic groups in the country. I would like to extend my cordial greetings to our compatriots in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the international friends who care and support China's modernization drive.

In the past sixty-six years, especially since the reform and opening up, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and relying on the wisdom and struggle of the Chinese people, the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics has made brilliant achievements attracting worldwide attention.

This is reflected in the marked improvement of China's comprehensive national strength and international influence, reflected in the increasing prosperity of ordinary family life, and also in the enjoyment of more people.

And social progress.

These achievements can console those ancestors who are advancing for national rejuvenation, and also make the contemporary Chinese proud.

Since the beginning of this year, under the firm leadership of the Party Central Committee under Comrade Xi Jinping as the general secretary, the whole country has worked hard together and achieved new achievements in various fields.

By continuing to promote structural reforms such as decentralization, decentralization, optimization of services and taxation, finance, and state-owned enterprises, we will further stimulate the vitality of the market. Public entrepreneurship and the effectiveness of millions of innovations will emerge.

There is a new progress in structural adjustment and new progress in structural adjustment. By actively expanding employment and increasing household income, we will further consolidate the "safety net" of social security, increase the precision of poverty alleviation, and improve the living standards of the people.

As China's second largest economy in the world, it will be very difficult to maintain a growth rate of around 7% on the base of the total economic output of US $10 trillion, and it will be more arduous to continue to create a better future at a new starting point.

In the face of opportunities and challenges, we must bear in mind the mission and the trust entrusted by the people, so that the administration will be more consistent with the expectations of the people and push forward the cause of reform and opening up and socialist modernization.

Development is the fundamental way for national revitalization and the top priority.

In the past, China's development depended on solid work.

We should constantly innovate the way of macroeconomic regulation and control, actively expand domestic demand and adjust the structure, consolidate the foundation for better economic development, enhance the quality and efficiency of development, effectively prevent and control all kinds of risks, and promote the rapid growth of the economy and move towards the medium and high end level.

Reform and opening up are the driving force for development.

We must unswervingly deepen the reform in an all-round way.

We should thoroughly implement the strategy of innovation driven development, and enhance the development of new kinetic energy through mass entrepreneurship, innovation and wisdom.

We should broaden the scope of opening wider to the outside world and open wider to the outside world and participate in international competition and cooperation in an all-round way so as to achieve win-win development.

People's happiness is a yardstick for measuring the effectiveness of reform and development.

We should do everything possible to expand employment, increase income of residents through various channels, work hard to solve the problems that plaguing the masses, and let children of poor families no longer be tripped out by dropping out of school, so that ordinary people will not fall into a desperate situation because of serious illness, so that young people with dreams will not be kept out of the door of entrepreneurial innovation by cumbersome procedures, constantly improving the ecological environment and continuously enhancing the happiness of the masses.

Rule by law is the cornerstone of modern national governance.

We should comprehensively promote the rule of law, speed up the construction of a government under the rule of law, and vigorously build a rule of law society, so that the spirit of rule of law will become an important guarantee for promoting civilization and progress.
