During the exhibition, the China Leather Association opened the "China eco leather products exhibition" area at the E3 Hall of the International Pavilion, showing the style of China's eco leather to the domestic and foreign leather industry colleagues, and further enhancing the influence of China's ecological leather in the domestic and international markets.

"Eco leather" is an excellent representative of leather industry in China. It plays an important role in promoting cleaner production technology, strengthening pollutant control, upgrading the overall image of leather making industry, and building famous brands.

The number of ecological leather enterprises accounts for about 7% of the tanneries in China, but leather production accounts for nearly 1/4 of the total output of leather enterprises above designated size.

In 2014, the output of eco leather enterprises increased by 1.8% compared with the same period last year, with patents increasing by 6.4% compared with the same period last year. R & D investment increased by 2.1% over the same period last year, and R & D investment accounted for 1.9% of total sales revenue.

More than 70% of enterprises have R & D centers at or above the county level, and 1 of them have obtained the national accredited enterprise technology center.

In 2014, the investment of eco leather enterprises in environmental protection management increased by 0.7% compared with the same period last year. CODP emissions decreased by 1.4% compared to the same period last year, ammonia nitrogen dropped by 2.6% compared with the same period last year, and 87% of the enterprise wastewater was reused, including the reuse of wastewater from various processes during the production process and the reuse of waste water after the end treatment, and the recycling rate was between 5%-55%.

Ecological leather has accelerated the pace of pformation and upgrading of leather industry in China. It has been strongly supported by the relevant ministries and commissions of the state and highly recognized by the whole industry. It has become an important starting point for strengthening the self-discipline work of leather industry in China. It also provides environmentally friendly, timely and high-quality finished leather for leather products enterprises, which is the main force to promote the development of green manufacturing in China's leather industry.

The "China eco leather products exhibition" was held for the first time at the international exhibition of China International Leather Exhibition. It is an innovative measure to enhance the promotion of ecological leather and display the Chinese Eco leather style while preserving the original eco leather area.

This eco leather exhibition has been actively responded by eco leather enterprises, showing more than 300 finished leather, including shoe upper leather.

Leather, sofa leather, bag leather, automobile leather and so on. Among them, there are many unique styles that can reflect the latest products of China's eco leather in the second half of 2015 and the trend of 2016.

The exhibition of ecological leather has attracted wide attention from exhibitors at home and abroad. Many representatives, especially foreign representatives, have shown great interest in ecological leather in China. They have gained a detailed understanding of the certification and management of ecological leather and ecological leather enterprises, and have also put forward new ideas and suggestions for the development of ecological leather.

At this international leather exhibition, the China Leather Association also invited designers and buyers of more than 20 key furniture enterprises such as min Hua holding, KUKA, left and right international to visit the exhibition, and organized the sofa leather enterprise representatives with ecological leather certification to connect with the sofa enterprises, thus establishing a platform for the ecological leather enterprises to further expand their market share.
