The "Wenzhou footwear export base" owned by the footwear industry in Wenzhou is a "professional demonstration base for foreign trade pformation and upgrading" identified by the Ministry of Commerce.

In the era of Internet plus, digital technology has triggered many technological innovations in traditional industries, giving Wenzhou footwear industry an opportunity to upgrade.

As a public service platform, the international design and research and development center intends to cooperate with the British DELCAM company in all aspects, introduce and popularize the "CRISPIN" footwear digital design technology, and speed up the digital design and application of the footwear industry in Wenzhou.

The first problem is that talent is hard to recruit.

The public service platform in Wenzhou is playing a light and hot role for enterprises, but also has encountered certain problems and difficulties.

Among them, shortage of talents and lack of funds reflect many problems.

"Because the demand in the local market is small, the imported talents can not stay, and at the same time, the local talent pool is not enough, so it is very difficult to connect the platform with the enterprise."

He said that in the course of the operation of the project, we understand that Wenzhou's large foreign trade shoemaking enterprises have little demand for originality. OEM is the main source, guests bring shoe samples, shoes enterprises make quick physical objects and reduce costs.

On the contrary, foreign trade companies have a relatively large demand for ODM (original design), because the cost increases over the past few years, making ODM profit margins larger.

"In recent years, I have recruited some high quality graduating students from the famous universities in the field. Although they can get career establishment after they come to Wenzhou, their realistic problems such as low income and difficult housing can not make them really feel at ease."

Lin Mei, President of Yongjia state valve quality supervision and inspection center, admitted that "the difficulty of retaining high-end talents has become the bottleneck of the development of local public service platform."

"Investment can not produce benefits, but the intensity of investment becomes smaller, so the platform operation is more difficult, forming a vicious circle."

Wang Feng said that the platform is most afraid of entering this state.

"Our units belong to self funded institutions from the nature, and have not achieved profits as a whole."
