More than 100 export companies in the South China Sea, including clothing, indoor textiles, yarn and weaving production, will be affected.

According to the regulation, the content of nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (NPE) in textile products is not higher than 0.01% (100ppm).

The pitional period of the regulation is 5 years. After the expiration of the pition period, products that do not meet the requirements will not be allowed to be sold or imported in the EU market.

Textiles are important export products in the South China Sea. Data show that in the first quarter, the value of clothing and textile products exported to the South China Sea is nearly 1 billion yuan, and the EU market occupies a larger share.

The introduction of this new order will have a greater impact on clothing, interior textiles, yarn and weaving production enterprises.

NPE is a nonionic surfactant with good permeability, emulsification and dispersing properties. It is widely used in the process of cleaning, dyeing and washing in the process of textile production.
