In 2015, the total fiber processing in China's textile industry reached 53 million tons, an increase of 6% over the same period last year, and the main business income of textile enterprises above Designated Size exceeded 7 trillion for the first time.

Although the growth rate of production indicators, economic indicators and export indicators slowed down, it is still steady. The adjustment of industrial structure is still advancing. The three applications of fiber have been constantly adjusted. The industrial fiber textile processing accounts for 1/4 of the total fiber processing in China in 2015. From the investment situation, the growth rate of investment in the west is faster than that in the eastern and central parts.

According to the data of the Circulation Association of China Textile Industry Federation, in 2015, there were 862 specialized textile and garment markets in China, and more than 1 million merchants in the market, with a turnover of more than 2 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.60% over the same period last year.

In recent years, China's textile and apparel e-commerce has developed rapidly. In 2015, the home textile network retail sales amounted to 831 billion yuan, accounting for 21% of the country's total. According to the calculation, the total e-commerce volume of textile and clothing in 2015 was 3 trillion and 700 billion yuan, an increase of 25% over the same period last year, accounting for 17% of the national total.

In the first quarter of 2016, the total turnover of 43 textile and garment specialized markets monitored by the Circulation Association of China Textile Industry Federation increased by 4.28% year-on-year.

In addition, in the first quarter of 2016, the representative regional indices of various parts of the country, such as China Changshu men's wear index, Shengze's textile boom index, China Keqiao textile prosperity index, the prosperity index of the silk chemical fiber market, and the business climate index of big and woolen weaving enterprises, although the price trends of different regions in different regions are different, but they all represent the situation of the industry.

By the end of 2015, the China Federation of textile industry has identified 206 pilot areas for textile industrial clusters (now 207 pilot clusters).
