According to the Ministry of industry data, the foreign exchange earnings of shoemaking industry in 2015 amounted to 4 billion 110 million dollars, or 2.33% of the domestic footwear industry exports in 2014.

From the point of view of employment opportunities, the above industries create 643 thousand workers, equal to 4.21% of manufacturing workers.

In addition, in 2014, the market share of China's footwear products in the world reached 2.85%, or China, Italy, Vietnam, Germany and Belgium ranked the sixth largest producer in the world.
