Clothing Exports Grew By 2% In The First 5 Months Of 2016, And Footwear Declined By 3.3%.

According to the customs statistics of mainland China, the total value of imports and exports of the mainland in the first 5 months of 2016 was 9 trillion and 160 billion yuan (the same below), a decrease of 3.2% compared with the same period in 2015, narrowing 1.6% compared with the previous 4 months.

Among them, export 5 trillion and 280 billion yuan, down 1.8%, narrow 0.9%; import 3 trillion and 880 billion yuan, 5%, narrow 2.5%; trade surplus 1 trillion and 400 billion yuan, expand 8.2%.

In May, the total value of imports and exports of the mainland was 2 trillion and 20 billion yuan, growing by 2.8%.

Among them, 1 trillion and 170 billion yuan was exported, 1.2% grew, 847 billion 100 million yuan was imported, 5.1% grew, and the trade surplus was 324 billion 800 million yuan, narrowing 7.7%.

Exports of electromechanical products have declined.

And other traditional labor-intensive products export growth: in the first 5 months, the mainland's export of electromechanical products was 3 trillion and 30 billion yuan, down 2.5%, accounting for 57.3% of the total export value.

Among them, electrical and electronic products exports 1 trillion and 340 billion yuan, grow 0.5%; machinery and equipment 881 billion 970 million yuan, down 3.4%.

In the same period, clothing exports were 372 billion 590 million yuan, growing 2%; textiles 280 billion 560 million yuan, growing 5.3%;

122 billion 650 million yuan, down 3.3%; furniture 129 billion 890 million yuan, down 4.7%; plastic products 95 billion 870 million yuan, 6.7% growth; bags 67 billion 190 million yuan, 0.6%; toys 34 billion 40 million yuan, growth 17.4%; the above 7 large categories of labor-intensive products total exports of 18 billion yuan, grow up, accounting for the total value of exports.

In addition, 10 million 250 thousand tons of fertilizer exports, 28.1% reduction; 46 million 280 thousand tons of steel, an increase of 6.4%; 280 thousand vehicles, reduced by 12.5%.
