2016 China Textile And Garment Vocational Education Development Forum Held In Xinjiang

The forum for the development of vocational education was held in Xinjiang to promote exchanges and cooperation between the textile and garment vocational colleges and famous universities in the mainland, and to strengthen cooperation between industrial development and vocational education.

In the meantime, Jiangsu, Wuhan, Beijing and other famous universities and textile and garment enterprises with strong advantages in textile and garment industry have signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Xinjiang Vocational College of Light Industry on "education aid to Xinjiang and order training". This year, orders will be made to train more than 1000 textile talents, including garment, textile and textile machinery and electrical integration. At the same time, they will actively absorb high-quality educational resources from the East and West, and strengthen the training and professional construction of textile and garment talents in Xinjiang.

In recent years, the textile and garment industry in Xinjiang has developed rapidly, and its influence and position in the country have been increasing.

At present,

Production capacity ranks first in the northwest provinces and regions. The number of well-known garment enterprises in Xinjiang has greatly increased, the industrial structure has been further optimized, and the industrial support system and supporting policies adapted to the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt have been strengthened.

Compared with the development of industry, the phenomenon of shortage of professional talents is becoming increasingly apparent, especially in vocational education, the shortage of skilled and applied high-quality talents is more prominent.

To this end, the theme of this forum is "implementing the strategy of promoting employment in Xinjiang's textile and garment industry, promoting the development of Vocational Education in Xinjiang's textile and garment industry, and providing strong talent support for the textile and garment industry". The aim is to build up a platform for dialogue and exchange of talents in textile and garment industry, to achieve high-quality educational resources sharing, and to explore new models of intelligent Xinjiang to help Xinjiang's textile and garment industry develop healthily.

Liang Yong, Deputy Secretary General of the people's Government of the autonomous region and director of the office of the leading group of the development of textile and garment industry in the autonomous region, introduced the four party dialogue and exchange mechanism.

The vocational education in the autonomous region should learn from the experience of advanced provinces and cities, put the accelerated development of modern vocational education in a more prominent position, focus on the needs of industrial pformation and upgrading, and speed up the construction of a modern vocational education system with Xinjiang characteristics, so as to provide more support for the development of textile and garment industry.

Ni Yangsheng, President of the China Textile and clothing education association, said that Xinjiang's textile and garment industry has obvious complementary effects with the mainland, especially the eastern coastal textile and garment industry. Xinjiang's human resources potential and cotton resources advantages, as well as its regional development conditions, are absolutely necessary to integrate into the modern textile and garment industry system. Therefore, we should improve the quality of human resources as the basic work to accelerate the development of the textile and garment industry.

It is reported that the forum was jointly organized by China Textile and clothing education association, China clothing association, autonomous region Commission, Xinjiang Vocational College of Light Industry and so on. 23 well-known textile and garment institutions in China and experts and scholars from textile and garment colleges and universities in the territory participated in the forum.
