General situation of economic benefits

Industry scale

In 2016 1--5, the main business income of textile machinery industry reached 45 billion 296 million yuan, an increase of 2.45% over the same period, an increase of 2.38 percentage points over the same period last year, but it dropped by 1.69 percentage points compared with the first quarter. The total assets amounted to 95 billion 603 million yuan, an increase of 2.29% over the same period last year, down 2.15 percentage points over the same period last year.

Cost structure

In 2016 1-5, the total cost of textile machinery industry was 42 billion 607 million yuan, an increase of 2.42% compared with the same period last year. The main business cost was 38 billion 404 million yuan, an increase of 2.54% compared with the same period last year, and the total cost accounted for 90.13% of the total cost. The sales cost was 1 billion 215 million yuan, a decrease of 0.87% compared with the same period last year, and the proportion of operating expenses in the total cost was 2.85%. The management cost was 24.50 billion, an increase of 0.97% yuan compared with the same period last year, and the proportion of management expenses in the total cost was 5.75%. The financial cost was 539 million yuan, an increase of 9.15% compared with the same period last year, and the proportion of the total financial cost in the total cost was 539 million.

Profit situation

In the 1-5 month of 2016, the textile machinery industry realized a total profit of 2 billion 846 million yuan, an increase of 4.89% over the same period last year. The deficit of deficit companies was 306 million yuan, down 21.02% from the previous year, and the deficit was 18.05%.

Import and export situation

According to customs statistics, the total import and export volume of textile machinery in China in 2016 1-5 was 2 billion 273 million US dollars, down 9.18% from the same period last year.

In 2016 1-5, textile machinery imported from 54 countries and regions totaled 1 billion 40 million US dollars, down 13.34% from the same period last year.

From the perspective of imports, auxiliary devices and spare parts imports rank first.

The total imports amounted to US $227 million, down 3.14% from the same period last year. The import of auxiliary devices and spare parts accounted for 21.81% of the total imports. The import volume of nonwoven machinery increased significantly, an increase of 41.50% over the same period last year. The decline of printing and dyeing finishing machinery, chemical fiber machinery and weaving machinery was higher than that of the industry.

In the 1-5 month of 2016, the main importing countries of textile machinery were Germany, Japan, Italy, Belgium and China Taiwan. The trade volume of the top five importing companies was 8.45 billion US dollars, down 13.75% from the same period last year, accounting for 81.18% of the total imports. The import of German textile machinery ranks first, with an import volume of US $364 million, a decrease of 30.12% compared with the same period last year. Among them, the trade volume of chemical fiber machinery was 97 million 200 thousand and 100 US dollars, down by 49.82% compared with the same period last year. Only seven spinning products were in positive growth, up 24.78% compared with the same period last year, and only six of the other six products were lower than the average level of the industry.

In 1-5 months of 2016, 28 provinces and autonomous regions in the country had different quantities of imports.

Five provinces and municipalities such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shanghai and Shandong ranked the top five of total imports, accounting for 84.14% of total imports.

The total import volume of Jiangsu province ranked first in the 288 million US dollars, down 24.41% from the same period last year, accounting for 27.64%.

Export profile

In 2016 1-5, textile machinery exported 1 billion 233 million US dollars, down 5.36% compared with the same period last year.

The export volume of knitting machinery was US $428 million, an increase of 11.14% over the same period last year, accounting for 34.68%, ranking first, followed by printing and finishing machinery, auxiliary equipment and spare parts, weaving machinery, spinning machinery, chemical fiber machinery and nonwoven machinery.

Among the seven categories of products, only knitted machinery showed positive growth. The other six categories of products decreased in different ranges, and the largest decline in spinning machinery was 28.36%.

Total exports to India amounted to 2.74 billion US dollars, up 8.43% from the same period last year, accounting for 22.22% of the total export volume.

In the 1-5 month of 2016, 30 provinces and autonomous regions had export of textile machinery products, and the top five provinces and cities accounted for 78.66% of the total export volume.

To sum up, all indicators in the economic operation of textile machinery industry are developing at a low level. The total volume of imports and exports has both dropped, and no obvious signs of recovery have been seen.
