Zijin Mountain believes that China is facing three competitions in industrial competition.

First, the western countries proposed to seek breakthroughs in the new energy, intelligent digital manufacturing and other industries, seize the opportunity; two, the western countries are promoting the return of traditional manufacturing industries; the three is that other developing countries have formed a homogeneous competition with China's resources, labor and other advantages.

Yang Danhui said that in the face of "double squeeze" from developed countries and developing countries, the traditional comparative advantage of China's foreign trade, which takes the total labor volume and cost as its core, is undergoing systematic loss, and the new competitive advantage has not yet been formed.

He published a number of signed articles successively, and expounded the thinking of cultivating new advantages in foreign trade competition and changing the development mode of foreign trade.

He believes that China's foreign trade should change from scale expansion to quality and efficiency improvement, pform from cost and price advantage to comprehensive competitive advantage, and form a new competitive advantage of technology based on technology, brand, quality and service.

Its specific starting points include "five optimization" (international market layout, domestic regional layout, foreign trade main body, trade structure, trade mode optimization) and "three constructions" (foreign trade production base, trade platform, and construction of international marketing network).

Before serving as Minister of Commerce, Zijin Mountain served as a representative of international trade negotiations in the Ministry of Commerce for many years.

In 2010, Zijin Mountain began to serve as deputy representative of international trade negotiations. In 2013, Zijin Mountain replaced Gao Hu Cheng as the representative of international trade negotiations of the Ministry of Commerce.
