The brand Kvadrat cooperation has launched a limited edition for Adidas classic Stan Smith little white shoes.
Stan Smith has released several joint series before, including well-known fashion.
Designer
Raf Simons and singer Pharrell Williams.
However, compared to the running shoes industry, it is a different way to cooperate with Stan and Smith to find stars or designers to do joint marketing.
Founded in 1968, Kvadrat is a world-renowned textile brand.
Their limited edition design for Stan Smith is inspired by Copenhagen, Denmark, which is the headquarters of Kvadrat, and the city itself represents the Nordic unique low-key design style, emphasizing practicality and functionality.
The joint series has 3 colors of grey, blue and red. The high-end fabric Square is designed by VibekeRohland, a Danish designer, Kvadrat. The vamp is made up of geometric dots with various color dots. The sole of the shoe is Stan Smith classic white.

Kvadrat does not produce fashion fabrics. It is a supplier of furniture fabrics.
Textile materials are used in Losangeles's Water Disney concert hall, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Guangzhou opera house.
For a long time, Kvadrat has focused on the interior building industry.
Over the past more than 10 years, Kvadrat has been more and more involved in contemporary art and design, and has been working with many creative people, including many famous designers, such as artist Olafur Eliasson, architect Jean Nouvel, architect and designer Patricia Urquiola, and designer Paul Smith.

"I think of cooperation projects with different creative people as a gallery showing our products. Contemporary art is like our R & D department.
None of our products is designed by Kvadrat. They all have elements of external cooperation.
So we do 20 products a year, all of which are cooperative, and we are more like curators.
Kvadrat's CEO Ander Byriel told reporters.

One of the most striking is the collaboration between Kvadrat and the famous fashion designer Raf Simons.
As long as it's Raf Simons, the design seems to be cool.
The Belgian designer is now a household name.
The brands he has played include Jil Sander, Christian Dior, and the Calvin Klein currently in existence, ranging from sports shoes design to advanced customization.
In May of this year, Simons launched a new fabric design series Ria for Kvadrat, which is the fourth joint series launched by Simons and Kvadrat.
The color design of Ria soft fabric is inspired by the "point painting" method. This kind of painting technique creates a vibrant color effect by applying punctuate solid blocks on the canvas.
Each Ria color scheme contains 3 tonal yarns.
The base of the fabric is made of fine, single colored yarns. Two yarns of different colors and coarse yarns are interwoven, creating color spots with subtle texture.
Hue uses blue, yellow and pink colors used by Impressionists and post Impressionist masters from nineteenth Century, including Shah, Sinek and Van Gogh, as well as Simons's own bright blue and bright red.

"The weaving and coloring process of fashion textile materials is not as constrained as the furniture fabric industry. When we cooperate with Kvadrat, we copy the concept of fabric quality and exquisite coloring in the fashion industry to the production of furniture and textile materials to achieve a painting like effect."
Simons said.

In 2011, Simons, the creative director of Jill Sander, needed to find a thick and old wool fabric for a coat when he designed the autumn and winter series for the brand. At this time, Kvadrat entered his field of vision. Simons
Kvadrat has very strict quality control to ensure that the fabric can last for a lifetime.
But in the fashion industry, this is often ignored. You can make a piece of plastic with plastic. It may be broken on the second day, but it is not a problem for those who are fashionable.
Fashion is concerned with the impact of experience, texture and performance in a flash.
In the small independent fashion brand Jil Sander, Simons has full freedom to explore new materials other than traditional fashion fabrics, which means that he can test his designs by buying a small amount of cloth.
Generally speaking, large fashion houses will develop their own special cloth or buy exclusive use of cloth from cloth producers, provided that they must buy at least tens of thousands of meters of cloth, that is to say, even clothing brands of luxury brands must ensure large quantities of production and supply.
And Simons can get customized services like Kvadrat from there.
"In the fashion industry, if you want to use some kind of cloth, you can order 2 to 5 meters at the time of releasing the new series. Once you enter the production stage, you usually have to order at least 60 meters, but Kvadrat allows me to order only 3 meters. In a fashion design, I use 75 materials and 75 different colors. If I can only use the fabric of fashion industry, I have to order at least 60 meters of fabric for each material, then I will go bankrupt!" Simons said.
After discovering that his furniture furnishings were equally excellent in fashion, Kvadrat actively contacted Simons, hoping that he could design cloth for Kvadrat.
Furniture fabrics are durable, but Simons finds that traditional furniture manufacturers are either too conservative or too bold in their use of colors.
He agreed that the original intention of CO publishing with Kvadrat is to copy his aesthetics of color in interior design to interior design.
In fact, Simons was originally a furniture designer. He admitted that the main reason for his decision to enter the fashion industry in the early 1990s was that the development of the home industry was too slow.
But now he enjoys the slow speed by designing cloth for Kvadrat occasionally.

Although my identity is mainly a fashion designer, in my mind, when I look at things and create, I am not limited to fashion designers' way of thinking.
I will explore something beyond clothing, whether it is furniture, cloth or interior design, as long as it can represent creative things.
At the same time, I am deeply committed to the world of art.
Simons said.
This pluralistic concept is also respected by Kvadrat.
Kvadrat didn't disappoint Simons either.
In his collaboration with him, Kvadrat developed new spinning lines for him.
"Textile technology like Ikat (ikat) was first derived from Indonesia and Japan. So far, the most valuable Japanese textiles are still made from this technology. However, once the technology is industrialized, it will inevitably lead to the loss of handcraft.
In cooperation with Raf, we are actually reversing this technology and reproducing the spinning line in order to industrialize.
Byriel said.
He believes that by collaborating with designers and artists like Simons, he can broaden his horizons and see some unexpected new value of textiles.
"He comes from the fashion industry, and their working style and ecosystem are quite different from those of the interior industry that we are familiar with.
If you only look at interior design, it's relatively patterned, and it's hard to get excited over a long time. I think that's why Raf will choose to switch from interior design to the fashion industry. "
This Danish textile brand has become an influential part in the contemporary culture and design industry.
They are also actively supporting emerging designers.
At the London Design Festival in September this year, Kvadrat will collaborate with 20 new designers around the world in the exhibition of My Canvas. Designers will focus on the aesthetics and functions of fabrics in different fields such as spinning, structure, interior and architecture, and start a journey of exploring cloth.
