China'S Textile And Clothing Exports Maintained Positive Growth In August

According to the latest statistical bulletin of the General Administration of customs, the national customs statistics are made in August.

The total export volume was $27 billion 52 million, an increase of 3.81% over the same period (2.13% in the year over year).

Among them,

Exports in the month amounted to $10 billion 283 million, an increase of 6.36% over the previous year (4.59% in the year over the year), and clothing exports 16 billion 769 million dollars in the same month, an increase of 2.3% over the previous year (0.68% in the year over year).

1-8 months of this year, the whole country

The total export volume was $181 billion 400 million, an increase of 3.72% over the same period last year (2.48% in the year before RMB).

Among them, the total export of textiles was 78 billion 735 million US dollars, an increase of 9.54% over the previous year (2.84% yuan over the same period last year), a slowdown of 0.28 percentage points over the first half of the year, and a total export of clothing of 102 billion 665 million US dollars, down 0.35% from the same period last year (a decrease of 6.19% in the year before RMB), and the growth rate was accelerated by 2.65 percentage points over the first half of the year.

This year, President Trump launched the biggest trade war ever in China.

Judging from the trade volume of textiles and clothing exported from China to the US, Sino US trade friction has no obvious impact on our industry at this stage. But we also notice that the trend of further diversification of American brand buyers is beginning to show.

According to the US OTEXA statistics, from 1 to July in 2018, the United States imported 69 billion 890 million dollars from the world's textiles and clothing, an increase of 4.8% over the same period last year.

Among them, imports from China amounted to 25 billion 379 million US dollars, an increase of 3.92% over the same period last year, and China accounted for imports of textiles from the United States.

The market share was 36.3%, a decrease of 1.8 percentage points compared with 2017.

During the same period, the United States imported textiles from ASEAN.

13 billion 422 million US dollars, an increase of 6.01% over the same period, accounting for 19.2% of the ASEAN market, an increase of 0.4 percentage points over 2017.
