The Fourth Symposium on textile relics Specialized Committee of the Chinese society of Antiquities

Sponsored by the China antiquities society textile heritage Specialized Committee, the Fourth Symposium on the textile heritage of the Chinese Heritage Society held by Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology was opened in October 20th at Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology.

The conference invited nearly 100 textile and costume experts from over 40 cultural, archaeological and educational institutions in China to attend.

In this seminar, Mr. Wang Yarong, the chairman of the textile heritage Specialized Committee of the Chinese society of Antiquities and the distinguished professor of the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, held the keynote speech entitled "Shen Congwen and the ancient costume culture".

On the 21 day, a number of experts and scholars also made studies on the archaeological discovery and protection of traditional costumes in the past dynasties, the research, design and weaving of traditional Chinese clothing, and the three aspects of research, including the use of traditional Chinese elements and the design of innovative costumes.

This symposium is a grand gathering of Archaeology and Cultural Expo.

The seminar provides a platform for communication and learning for academic research on ancient Chinese textiles and clothing. There will be new breakthroughs and innovations in the research of Chinese traditional dress culture.

I hope to take this seminar as an opportunity to carry forward the spirit of "four convergent convergence and choose the best and follow suit", broaden our thinking and set up hundreds of directors, and integrate the research fields of ancient Chinese dress saving, protection, research, inheritance, innovation and development, as well as the research strength and material resources of museums, universities and research sites.
