From 2019, we will replace the Samma prize in science and technology with the "Sang Ma scholar" award, and select four Samma scholars annually, with a bonus of 200 thousand yuan each.

The China Federation of textile industry will be solely responsible for the annual selection of mulberry scholars and the selection of mulberry prize and scholarship. Experts from the industry will select excellent industry talents.

In 2018, a total of 45 teachers were awarded the Samma prize. A total of 377 students were awarded the Samma scholarship, among which 12 were the first prize, 60 were the first prize, two were 110, three were 195.

In 2018, 2 people were awarded the honours of Xiao Changfa, Professor of Tianjin University of Technology and Professor Xu Weilin of Wuhan Textile University.

It is understood that the San Ma foundation was conceived by Mr. Cha Jimin in 1992. As of 2018, a total of 325 science and technology talents, 736 teachers and 6643 students were awarded a total bonus of 29 million 520 thousand. The total amount of the fund increased from HK $2 million initially established to HK $47 million today.
