In 2018, China's Textile And Clothing Exports Increased By 3.52% Compared With The Same Period Last Year.

According to the General Administration of customs data, China's textile and apparel exports in 2018 amounted to US $276 billion 731 million, an increase of 3.52% over the same period last year. Among them, exports of textiles amounted to US $119 billion 98 million, an increase of 8.12% over the same period last year, and exports of clothing and accessories reached US $157 billion 633 million, an increase of 0.29% over the same period last year.

RMB denominated in 2018, China's textile and apparel exports totaled 1 trillion and 826 billion 370 million yuan, a slight increase of 0.78%. Although this year's textile and apparel export market is generally expected to grow to nearly 4 years high, but one of the important reasons is that tariff expectations lead to exports ahead of schedule. With the expected increase in Sino US peace talks at the end of 2018, tariffs continued to rise and expected to dissipate, plus the Yuan's rise and fall, which was significantly overdrawn in the early stage. In 2019, it began to enter the stage of "missed lessons", especially in the first half of the year.

According to the monthly data, in December, China's textile and apparel exports were 23 billion 117 million US dollars, down 3.74 compared to the same period last year. Of them, the export of textiles was US $9 billion 882 million, down 2.74% compared with the same period last year, and garment exports were US $13 billion 235 million, up 3.87% over the same period last year.

In addition, in 2018, China's footwear products exported 46 billion 904 million US dollars, down 2.7% compared with the same period last year, and the number dropped by 0.4% compared with the same period last year.
