On the 17 day, the Hangzhou customs held a press conference to announce the export and import data of Zhejiang in 2018.

According to statistics, in 2018, the total import and export value of Zhejiang was 2 trillion and 850 billion yuan, of which the total value of exports exceeded 2 trillion yuan for the first time.

Data show that in 2018, the total import and export value of Zhejiang province was 2 trillion and 850 billion yuan, an increase of 11.4% over 2017 (the same below), of which, exports were 2 trillion and 120 billion yuan, an increase of 9%; imports of 733 billion 720 million yuan, an increase of 19%.

Lu Haisheng, director of the Hangzhou Customs Statistics Office, said at the press conference that in 2018, Zhejiang's import and export, exports and imports continued to maintain the fourth, third, sixth place in the country, accounting for 9.3%, 12.9% and 5.2% of the total share of the country. The share of imports and exports, exports and imports increased by 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 percentage points respectively, and the export share reached a record high in 2017.

As far as trade structure is concerned, the structure of Zhejiang's trade pattern tends to diversify, and general trade occupies a dominant position.

In 2018, Zhejiang's general trade import and export volume was 2 trillion and 250 billion yuan, an increase of 11%, accounting for 79% of Zhejiang's total import and export value, 0.3 percentage points lower than that of 2017.

In addition, Zhejiang has achieved steady growth in the import and export of the top three trade markets, and the driving effect of the "one belt and one road" construction continues to emerge.

Data show that in 2018, Zhejiang's imports and exports to the European Union, the United States and ASEAN were 556 billion 890 million yuan, 461 billion 960 million yuan, 315 billion 990 million yuan, an increase of 9.3%, 10.1%, and 22.5%, respectively, accounting for 19.5%, 16.2%, 11.1% of the total import and export value of the whole province, and three of them accounted for 46.8%.

Over the same period, the total value of imports and exports of Zhejiang and the "one belt along the way" was 896 billion 660 million yuan, an increase of 12.3%, accounting for 31.4% of the total import and export value of the whole province.

It is worth mentioning that the import and export of private enterprises in Zhejiang has maintained relatively rapid growth and the main body of foreign trade has been expanding.

In 2018, Zhejiang's private enterprises imported and exported 2 trillion and 40 billion yuan, an increase of 12.7%, accounting for 71.7% of Zhejiang's total import and export value, 0.8 percentage points higher than that of 2017.

Among them, exports amounted to 1 trillion and 650 billion yuan, an increase of 10.6%, accounting for 78% of the total export value, and the proportion increased by 1.1 percentage points. The main export status of the first largest exporters continued to maintain, and imports of 390 billion 520 million yuan increased by 22.6%.

Electromechanical products and labor-intensive products are still the main export of Zhejiang.

In 2018, the export of mechanical and electrical products in Zhejiang was 921 billion 410 million yuan, an increase of 9.6%, accounting for 43.5% of the total export value, and the proportion increased by 0.3 percentage points.

Over the same period, the export of high-tech products increased by 140 billion 840 million yuan, an increase of 11.5%, accounting for 6.6% of the total export value, and the proportion increased by 0.2 percentage points.

Textile and clothing, furniture and other 7 categories of labor-intensive products total exports of 754 billion 320 million yuan, an increase of 7.4%, accounting for 35.6% of the total value of exports, the proportion dropped 0.5 percentage points.

In terms of bulk commodities, the volume and price of imported and bulk commodities such as refined oil and xylene rose and food imports decreased.

In 2018, Zhejiang imported 97 million 333 thousand tons of iron ore, an increase of 8.6%, 13 million 847 thousand tons of refined oil, an increase of 45.1%, 6 million 281 thousand tons of primary plastics, an increase of 16.6%, and 4 million 407 thousand tons of xylene, an increase of 32.3%.

Among them, the average price of refined oil and xylene imports increased by more than 20%.

In addition, 4 million 107 thousand tons of imported grain decreased by 17.9%.
