Shenzhen Spot Checks Down Clothing Products 69 Batches Of Samples Unqualified 5 Batches.
In January 29, 2019, the official website of Shenzhen market supervision and Administration Bureau issued a notice on the results of quality supervision and spot check of down garment products in 2018.
According to the briefing, in the third quarter of 2018, the Shenzhen municipal market supervision and Administration Bureau organized a product quality supervision and spot check on the down and down garments produced and sold in Shenzhen. A total of 69 batches of products sold and sold by 40 enterprises were inspected, and 5 batches of unqualified samples were found in the inspection.
According to the requirements of the basic safety technical specification for national textile products (GB18401-2010), down garments (GB/T14272-2011) and the current effective product standard, the compulsory items such as formaldehyde content, pH value, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes, water fastness, acid perspiration fastness, alkali resistance, color fastness to dry rubbing, color fastness to dry rubbing and so on, and recommended items such as "wet rubbing fastness, cashmere content, cashmere content, filling type, feather down type, duck feather (velvet content) and fluffiness" were tested.
The unqualified items involved in the supervision and inspection are mainly: the amount of cashmere, the content of cashmere and the amount of filling.
The amount of cashmere and the amount of cashmere will directly affect the thermal insulation of down garments, and also affect the fluffiness of down garments.
Cashmere content refers to the proportion of velvet and velvet in feather and down.
The national standard GB/T14272-2011 "down garments" attaches great importance to the examination of the content of the down pile, and clearly stipulates that the ratio of the total amount of cashmere to cashmere silk in the finished product should be more than 90%, for example: 90% down garments with Down flours, and the contents of them should reach 81%.
The total weight of the eiderdown filled in the down garment is the main index that determines the warmth retention effect of the down garment. The more the amount of filling is, the better the thermal performance.
Shenzhen market supervision and Administration Bureau said that the product quality problems found in spot checks have been dealt with according to the relevant laws and regulations.
Consumer tips
When choosing a down garment product, consumers should consider the following aspects:
1. pay attention to feather down.
In the down garments sold on the market, the down products are mostly eiderdown and goose down.
In general, goose down is large, and the feather stem is small. The quality is excellent, the elasticity is strong, the heat retention is stronger, and the output of goose down is also lower than that of duck down. The cost of goose down is higher than that of duck down from the cost of raw materials.
Therefore, we need to recognize the down feather when choosing down garments.
2. pay attention to the amount of cashmere and the amount of cashmere.
The amount of cashmere is an important index to determine the quality of feather and down feathers. The higher the amount of cashmere is, the better the effect of heat preservation is; the amount of down and down is the amount of down and down, the better the insulation performance of the down garment.
3. pay attention to purchasing skills and clothing details.
When choosing the down jacket, we should pay attention to the quality of the surface accessories of the down garment, check whether there are any wool threads in the quilting line, and whether the fabric structure of the inner fabric is too loose.
It is not easy to drill down the wool, and the thermal performance is better.
