The Traditional "Textile Girl" Has Pformed Into A Biological Textile Research.

There is such a young "old" teacher in the textile School of Donghua University. Although she has been teaching for 35 years, she still enjoys this platform.

She said: "the reason for doing a teacher is actually very simple, that is, from the heart like standing on the platform", in her view, this is not for a lifetime.

She is the director of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of textiles and textile technology, the director of the textile and biomedical materials science and technology innovation base, the textile bio material and technology discipline and functional materials national level professional responsibility person, and the 2017 Baosteel outstanding teacher award winner Wang Lu.

Such a new profession should be and must exist in our school.

In 1982, Mr. Wang, who was only 19 years old, graduated from the Textile Engineering College of East China Textile College and stayed in the school. He read a master's degree and later went to France to read a Ph.D.

During her studying abroad, she pformed herself from a traditional "textile girl" to a biotextile researcher.

At the high Alsace University in France, she studied the biological textile materials with her tutor Be Durant.

"Learning experience at that time is like opening another field for me. The reaction between textile and biology is amazing."

Since then, biomedical textiles have become the heart of Miss Wang.

After graduation, he returned to Donghua to continue teaching. At that time, few domestic educational colleagues had combined biomedical and textile teaching, and this is precisely one of the hot topics in the field.

At that time, Miss Wang had an idea that the new profession with such a bright future would have and must have.

Thus, exploring new ways of professional development in textile interdisciplinary subjects has become a pressing matter for her.

Under her main initiative, "textile biomaterials and technology" discipline and "functional materials - Biomedical textile materials and technology" new professional were established in school. In 2009, it also won the first level of doctoral and master degree in textile biotechnology and technology in China. In 2010, the undergraduate functional material, biomedical textile material and technology major, was set up for the national strategic emerging industry. 2011, the "functional material" new specialty was awarded the national specialty construction point, and 2014 was awarded the two star professional.

Donghua University has built and formed a relatively complete training system for biomedical talents in the field of biomedical textile materials.

I just like standing on the platform and falling in love with class.

Every year when freshmen enter school, Mr. Wang will pick up biomedical textiles and give them an introductory course.

In this way, the practice of basic courses for undergraduates has lasted for 35 years, and has become a habit.

"Maybe there are several teachers in my family. I like it from the bottom of my heart. I never feel like a task."

"Miss Wang's class is always fun and easy," Terri Kwan, a young teacher from the Textile Institute, went from undergraduate school to Ph. D.

In her impression, Miss Wang seems never to be "cruel" to students, always smiling and kindly.

Even if students do not perform well in their studies, Miss Wang can always find a good way to encourage them.

Under the guidance of Teacher Wang, 4 young teachers have become the main force of science and education in this discipline. They have opened 7 new courses, chaired 15 national science and technology support projects, provincial and municipal science and technology support programs and production, University and research cooperation projects. 15 undergraduate students have participated in 11 national and municipal innovation projects, 20 applications for patents, 30 people participated in academic exchanges at home and abroad, and the "high-tech textiles department" led by Shanghai won the 38 red flag collective in 2016, and she herself was rated as 38 red flag holder in Shanghai.

It is useful to do scientific research, but also to nurture teaching.

"Textile is a traditional dominant discipline in Donghua. We have to make it play a bigger role today." as the principal person in charge of textile biology, Mr. Wang has been committed to the restructuring and adjustment of scientific research in recent years and to carry out research on high-tech textiles, especially in the development of new plant dyes and functional auxiliaries and in the study of medical textiles.

She led the team not only to complete the national science and Technology Ministry's "863" project "preparation of natural dyes and their development in ecological textiles" and Jiangsu science and technology tackling / supporting projects, based on the achievements of this series of research development, "the research and development of vegetable dyes and their application in the production of high-grade fur products" also won the Jiangsu provincial science and technology award.

"The development and industrialization of the key technology of natural ecological multifunctional high-grade Woollen Textiles" has won the two prize of the China Textile Industry Federation science and technology award.

With good scientific research results, we should let the results feed back to teaching.

Under the guidance of Miss Wang, the team has built the first domestic biomedical textile material preparation and its 3Bs testing and evaluation laboratory, and has established 5 research bases and cooperative personnel training bases.

The employment rate of graduates is 100%, and the enrollment rate is 35-55%.

The accumulation of long-term scientific research also provides abundant teaching materials for personnel training.

Editor in chief Wang published the first textbook of biomedical textiles, biomedical textiles in China.

We have compiled the first international textbook for textile graduate students, Biotextiles as implant and Antimicrobial textiles.

In addition, the 13th Five-Year planning textbook, "functional design and preparation of biomedical textiles" and "testing and evaluation of biomedical textiles", will be published in the near future.

The road of scientific research and education is endless.

Now, Wang has led the team to struggle for the new "small target", and has undertaken over 10 research projects, including the development of the high-intensity implant system that can induce ligament regeneration, the development and application of the biomedical anti adhesion hernia patch and the research and development of the self adhesive bandage for target thermal reconstitution. The implementation of these projects will help to promote the development of high-tech industrial textiles, accelerate the upgrading of the new textile industry and adjust the structure of the textile industry.
