Tommy Hilfiger Closes Global Flagship Store In Fifth Avenue, New York
According to WWD, American leisure brand Tommy Hilfiger has recently closed its brand flagship store in Fifth Avenue, New York.
The store opened in 2009, with an area of 22 thousand square feet (more than 2000 square meters) and 4 floors. It was designed by Callison Architects and TommyHilfiger creative team, and was then called the "peak time" by the brand.
In addition, Tommy Hilfiger will close its 9000 square foot (more than 800 square meter) Miami store in April 28th.
The two stores are the only two stores in the more than 200 branches in North America.
In addition to Tommy Hilger, Fifth Avenue has recently closed shop, from Lord&Taylor to GAP, to Henri Bendel and Ralph Lauren's Polo flagship store.
Founded in 1985, Tommy Hilger started in men's clothing and now has more than 1500 stores worldwide.
In China, there are more than 150 stores in more than one second main cities.
Tommy Hilger2018 fiscal year third quarter earnings report, Tommy Hilger revenue grew 11% to 1 billion 100 million dollars, of which international revenue grew 16%, while North America grew by only 3%.
The brand CEO Daniel Grieder says it will pay more attention to the next generation retail experience and partnership in the future. In order to meet the changing shopping preferences of North American consumers accustomed to digital life, the new concept is to launch a quick store.
