Textile And Garment Entrepreneurs Gather Together To Explore The Development Path Of High Quality Industry

On the morning of 19 th, the 2019 Forum on the high quality development path of the national textile and garment industry and the Tenth China Textile and garment entrepreneurs' day were held in Shishi.

On the spot, leaders, experts and entrepreneurs from both inside and outside the industry gathered together to explore the high quality development path of the textile industry.

The forum is chaired by Yang Jun, Deputy Secretary General of China Textile Industry Federation and executive vice president of China Textile Industry Management Association.

"Promoting the high quality development of manufacturing industry" is the first task of the central economic work conference in 2019.

As an important pillar industry of China's national economy, the textile and garment industry is related to the direction of the national economy and the overall task of building a harmonious society, as well as the livelihood of the people.

How to move towards high quality development is the focus of attention of the vast number of entrepreneurs.

"Manufacturing is the main body of the national economy, and promoting the high quality development of the manufacturing industry is the key task of China's high quality economic development."

Cao Xuejun, deputy director of the Department of consumer goods industry of the Ministry of industry and information technology, said that from the government level, the primary task of promoting the high quality development of the textile and garment industry is to strengthen the construction of scientific and technological innovation system, optimize and adjust the industrial structure, cultivate new formats of industrial development, enhance the level of international development, and create a fair competition environment for development.

"In the era of vigorous development of regional economy, increasing trade conflicts, upgrading technology, environmental protection and consumer experience, future industrial development should focus on environmental protection, intelligent manufacturing and highly cooperative supply chain system, and create a high-tech, high-quality and efficient competitive advantage to achieve the high quality development of textile and garment industry."

Weng Maozhong, vice chairman of Taiwan textile industry exhibition, believes that the textile and garment industries in mainland China and Taiwan have strong complementarity and great potential for cooperation. We hope that the two sides will strengthen exchanges and deepen cooperation and further enhance the level of industrial cooperation and global competitiveness through joint research and development, creating brand names, collusion standards and developing markets.

Peng Yanli, Deputy Secretary General of China Textile Industry Federation, said that technology, green and fashion are the new positioning for the development of the textile industry and the key to achieving high quality development.

China Textile Technology Department has guided the industry to carry out key technical tackling and advanced technology promotion through relevant planning documents. It also commended outstanding scientific and technological workers and R & D achievements, and carried out evaluation and recognition of key technologies such as textile technology innovation center and textile industry key laboratory, organized the patent award evaluation of China Textile Industry and recommended the Chinese patent award, and actively promoted the technological innovation system and capacity building of the textile industry.

At the meeting, Huang Weiji, director of the China Textile Economic Research Center, and Secretary General of Taiwan Textile Development Association and other industrial experts and entrepreneurs made the keynote speech, and participants also exchanged and shared experiences on the spot.

The advantages of China's textile and garment industry lie in its strong industrial foundation, complete industrial chain, high efficiency, high quality of talents, and huge potential for domestic market demand.

By the end of 2018, China Textile Federation has identified 215 pilot areas for textile industrial clusters.

In the final concluding remarks, Xia Lingmin, vice president of China Textile Industry Federation and President of China Textile Industry Enterprise Management Association, introduced the development course of China's textile and garment industry and the major historical events that have affected the development of the industry since the reform and opening up.

According to the briefing, China has now become the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of textiles and clothing.

China's textile and garment exports account for 37% of the world's total, and the number of employed persons in the industry accounts for 10% of the total industry. 98% of the regulated enterprises in the industry are private enterprises.

Xia Lingmin pointed out that, in order to achieve high quality development in the textile and garment industry, we must start with scientific and technological innovation, brand promotion, green sustainability, talent team, brand, intelligence, internationalization and so on.
