HKRITA Has Won Numerous Awards For Garment Recycling To Garment Recycling.

HongKongResearchInstituteofTextilesandApparel (HKRITA) has won numerous awards on the forty-seventh international inventions (InternationalExhibitionofInventions) in Hongkong. This year, the winners include small shop production lines, which will turn the used garment into a clean and wearable garment.

In the past 10 years, HKRITA has participated in the International Invention Exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland, and has won 45 awards altogether, 21 of which are gold medals.

In 2019, 6 gold medals were selected, including 3 gold medals, 1 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.

In addition, its "high efficiency far infrared functional textile (HighlyEfficientFarInfraredFIRFunctionalTextile)" plan was awarded the special award of the Thailand National Research Council (NationalResearchCouncilofThailand).

Our goal is to work with local academics and industries to support sustainable technological development, while promoting re industrialization and sustainable development.

In order to achieve insulation, the traditional process of FIR fiber will involve expensive chemical treatment, which will lead to a decrease in yarn performance and quality.

However, the HKRITA special award plan defines the cross section profile of the fiber, and ideally changes the spinning parameters of the fiber. Through the high efficiency and high quality FIR fiber, the brightness, fineness, linear shape and rendering method can be improved to achieve the best performance.

HKRITA claims that this production method is "more cost competitive and environmentally friendly" compared with traditional processes.

The solution provides a permanent far-infrared function, which is mainly used for heat preservation and maintenance of health and well-being, such as warmth retention, keeping the wearer warm, improving the metabolism and sleep quality, eliminating fatigue, promoting recovery, and increasing blood oxygen and circulation.

Ready to wear clothes to G2G system, mini factory in retail space (Garment-to-garment (G2G) System – AMiniMillinRetailSpace):

This is a mini production line of a retail store, which is made from recycled used clothes and made into clean and wearable clothes.

The entire process is carried out in a 40 foot pparent glass container.

The display space has the design of anti-seismic, noise and dust control, which can minimize interference to nearby enterprises and operate in shopping areas.

Visitors can look at the status of the components in the system, even through the recycling of consumer clothing to deepen their experience.
