E-commerce pactions in the whole year amounted to 31 trillion and 630 billion yuan, an increase of 8.5% over the previous year, and online retail sales reached 9 trillion and 10 billion yuan, an increase of 23.9% over the same period last year.
At the same time, China's e-commerce and express logistics collaborative development into the fast lane.
In 2018, China's express delivery service business volume totaled 50 billion 710 million, an increase of 26.6% over the same period, and business income totaled 603 billion 840 million yuan, an increase of 21.8% over the same period last year.
It is worth mentioning that the report pointed out that China's cross border e-commerce comprehensive pilot area continued to carry out policy innovation, global brand merchandise accelerated two-way interaction, cross-border electricity providers entered a new stage of upgrading and development.
In 2018, China's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports totaled 134 billion 700 million yuan, an increase of 50% over the same period last year.
The report said that "Silk Road e-commerce" has become a new business card to further promote international cooperation and become a new highlight of bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

Li Chenggang, assistant director of China's Ministry of Commerce, said that the international influence of "Silk Road business" has been expanding. In just 3 years, China has signed a memorandum of understanding on e-commerce with 18 countries, and has launched a number of government enterprise dialogue sessions, promoting policy exchanges and industrial docking, which has set up a platform for mutual benefit cooperation between enterprises.
He pointed out that at present, the global economy is accelerating to enter the new era of intelligent convergence. The trend of digitalization, networking and intellectualization of traditional industries is becoming more and more obvious. The digital economy, taking data as the key production factor, is becoming a new economic form after agricultural economy and industrial economy.
Electronic commerce is the most active and concentrated form of digital economy.
