Off-White Founder Holds The First Personal Art Exhibition

After many months of preparation, Kanye West creative consultant, Off-White founder and Louis Vuitton (Louis Weedon) creative director of Menswear Virgil Abloh's first personal art exhibition, Figures of Speech, was officially unveiled in June 10th at the Chicago Contemporary Art Museum (Museum of).

The art exhibition is open to the public. The closing time is September 22nd.

The Figures of Speech art exhibition is located on the four floor of the Chicago Contemporary Art Museum, the design research studio AMO creative director Samir Bantal, specially designed for this exhibition in the immersive space.

According to the content, the exhibition is divided into 7 exhibition areas, starting with the Introduction (Introduction) cultural wall hanging from photos. With the theme of Early Work (early works), Fashion (Fashion), Music (Music), The Black Gaze (black culture) and Design (Design), the works of Virgil Abloh in different periods in music, art, architecture and other aspects are assembled, and the pformation process of his growth is thoroughly analyzed.

Finally, people will enter the exhibition hall of The End, which represents the summary and continuation.

In addition to the exhibition, visitors can enter the Church & State of the Chicago Museum of contemporary art through Virgil Abloh, a special flash shop.

The flash shop was named after Virgil Abloh and his team, showing all the best selling products of Off-White.

Visitors can also buy exclusive clothing series specially produced by Virgil Abloh for this exhibition in this store.

During the art exhibition, Virgil Abloh will also co organised various activities with the Chicago contemporary art museum to support young artists and conduct in-depth exchanges with exhibitors.

In June 8th, in order to help her creative director to take the initiative, Louis Vuitton opened an exclusive flash store in West Loop block, Chicago, and launched Virgil Abloh second men's wear series.

In addition to the exhibition's Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Blue Version, Louis Vuitton has also launched exclusive exhibition products.

The flash store will be closed in July 7th.

Virgil Abloh graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago (Illinois University of science and Technology), with a professional background in architecture and civil engineering, and also a hot DJ and a music producer.

During the internship of Italy luxury brand Fendi, Virgil Abloh met the famous American hip hop singer and fashion designer Kanye West.

Later, he became a long-term creative consultant for Kanye West.

In 2012, he launched the street fashion brand Pyrex Vision, and founded the concept store RSVP Gallery in Chicago, and also served as the creative director of West brand.

At the end of 2013, he launched Off-White on the Internet. In the following year, the first static exhibition in showroom in Paris, the combination of Bauhaus style and sportswear aroused strong response from the industry.

18 months later, Off-White expanded the women's wear series and staged the first show.
