Xiaoping's feelings at the meeting aroused everyone's sympathy.
The domestic carbon fiber industry has been developing all the way in recent years. At present, the mood of practitioners is rising because of solid achievements.
Xu Lianghua, vice president of School of materials science and engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and director of the National Center for carbon fiber engineering and technology research, introduced the progress made in the technological progress and industrialization level of the domestic carbon fiber during the "13th Five-Year" period, with special emphasis on: "in recent years, the exciting enthusiasm of domestic carbon fiber enterprises is rising, and the technological innovation vitality of enterprises is unprecedented, and the ability of innovation is enhanced. Especially since this year, leading enterprises have achieved unprecedented achievements in innovative technology.
He introduced that this year, the spinning speed of 12K dry spray carbon fiber in China has reached 500 m / min, the 3K wet spinning speed has reached 300 m / min, the 25K~50K precursor and carbon fiber have achieved 1000 ton level preparation, the 25K 240 raw silk carbonization speed reaches 12 m / min, and the 25K 220 raw silk carbonization speed reaches 13.5 M / min.
These technologies are basically broken through by leading enterprises. Cong Zongjie, general manager of Weihai development Fiber Co., Ltd., said that the technical research on the efficient preparation of PAN based carbon fiber has become an important direction for the development of China's carbon fiber industry. The three ways of efficient preparation include: increasing speed (increasing spinning speed), increasing fiber bundles and unit consumption (reducing unit cost). In terms of speed increase, the development of dry spray wet spinning technology jointly developed by Weihai and North China has made breakthroughs, achieving stable operation of spinning speed of 500 m / minute. There is also a breakthrough in speeding up the wet spinning process jointly undertaken by Weihai expansion and North industrialization. "The high strength PAN based carbon fiber industrialization preparation technology based on wet spinning process" has achieved the stable operation of spinning speed of 300 m / minute spinning level. The overall technology of these two projects has reached the international advanced level, and has been applied in the field of high end composite materials, laying a technical foundation for efficient preparation and playing a leading role in China.
In addition to technological innovation, the level of industrialization is also at a stable stage of development. The concept of "thousand ton club" is used to describe this industry, which means that the single line production capacity of the leading enterprises is the kiloton carbon fiber production line.
"The real industrialization system of domestic carbon fiber has been established." Xu Lianghua pointed out that compared with the "early 13th Five-Year", the industrialization scale of domestic carbon fiber has changed little, and there are still 12 kiloton lines. Among them, two methyl sulfoxide technology is the main technology, and its quantity is 8, including 2 items developed in Weihai, 3 in Zhongfu divine eagle carbon Fiber Co., 2 in Jiangsu Heng Shen Carbon Fiber Co., and 1 in zhonganxin.
Effective release rate is also an important indicator of the level of industrial development. At the meeting, from the comprehensive situation introduced by many guests, although the production capacity of China's carbon fiber was 25000 tons in 2018, the effective production capacity was about 15000 tons, and the actual supply of the market was about 9000 tons. Therefore, if the effective capacity is calculated, the capacity release of China's carbon fiber industry has reached 60% in 2018.

The development of applied fields has made remarkable achievements. The domestic carbon fiber has already realized the independent supply guarantee in the aviation field, and has also realized the application in many kinds of equipment in the aerospace field. It is particularly worth noting that the T800 breakthrough of wet spinning is the largest dynamic carbon fiber in China. In terms of civilian products, the civil sector represented by wind turbine blades has expanded rapidly, and has made a good demonstration of the development of domestic carbon fiber in the civilian field.
"If we say that the development of domestic carbon fiber enterprises in 12th Five-Year will depend to a large extent on policy support, then the development level of domestic carbon fiber enterprises will exceed expectations in the '13th Five-Year' period. This shows that the function of" hematopoiesis "of domestic carbon fiber enterprises has been improved, and the independent research and development of domestic carbon fiber enterprises has basically been guided and satisfied. Xu Lianghua emphasized.
Xiaoping, from the other point of view, puts forward some thoughts on the current development of the domestic carbon fiber industry, that is, the industry cycle and maturity. Taking the polyester industry as an example, he pointed out that the domestic polyester industry has basically developed for 30 years, and there will be a cycle every 10 years, and there will be a larger scale integration. The reasons behind such integration and changes include technological progress, financial crisis and other factors. If we take the history of the polyester industry that has already been mature, we will find that over the past 30 years, the polyester industry in China has undergone 3 major integration and changes. As a result, mergers and acquisitions have taken place, and some enterprises have gone bankrupt and new entrants have emerged.
Xiaoping pointed out that carbon fiber technology is very difficult, but the overall technological progress of society is acceleration, so it can still assume that the domestic carbon fiber industry basically mature for 30 years. If it is calculated from the year of 2005~2007, it is still 16~18 years from 2035 to ~2037. At present, the domestic carbon fiber industry has undergone an adjustment, and the enterprises that have already been out of business are approaching the end of the current round of adjustment. It is about 40% of the distance from 2035 to ~2037. Opportunities and challenges coexist in this process.
Large wire bundle carbon fiber "charm"
Developing tow is one of the mature and effective ways to lower the cost of carbon fiber. In recent years, with the rapid development of global wind power and other industries, the demand for low cost CFRP has expanded year by year. Against this background, large carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) fibers are one of the key directions for future development of carbon fiber producers in foreign countries. At present, the main manufacturers of large capacity carbon fiber in China are: Formosa Plastics, LAN-STAR, Jilin chemical fiber, Jilin Jinggong, Shanghai petrochemical and Weihai. The main products are T300-24K/48K.
Jilin chemical fiber group is China's successful conquering technology of large tow carbon fiber. Just the day before the conference, good news came from the group's tow project.
In July 24th, the China Federation of textile industry organized a scientific and technological guidance project sponsored by the Jilin carbon and carbon fiber Limited by Share Ltd, Jilin Jinggong Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. and Changchun University of Technology in Jilin. The 25K~50K polyacrylonitrile precursor and the key technology and industrialization development of carbon fiber will be appraise. The appraisal committee agreed that the overall technology of the project reached the international advanced level.
According to the introduction, the project has the capacity to produce 16000 tons of big tow carbon fiber precursor and 4000 tons tow carbon fiber production capacity annually. The production is safe and stable, and its product performance is similar to that of international similar products. It has been widely used in wind turbine blades, building reinforcement, rail transit and sports leisure products, and has good economic and social benefits.
The project has developed the core technology and key equipment of the large tow carbon fiber (25K-50K) industrialization. The high quality polyacrylonitrile which is suitable for the preparation of large tow carbon fiber precursor has been developed by using the independently developed non-metal ion redox initiating system. The DMAC wet two step spinning technology for preparing homogenous precursor fiber has been developed to achieve stable production of single line 5000 ton 25K-50K raw silk. A constant tension control technology for large filament bundles in the pre oxidation process has been developed, combined with the intelligent temperature control and automatic coke removal process, the stable production of single line 2000 ton 25K-50K carbon fiber has been realized. The project has independent intellectual property rights and 3 applications for patents.
Song Dewu, chairman and general manager of Jilin Chemical Fiber Group Co., said in an interview with reporters: "through the identification of the project, it indicates that China's 25K~50K tow carbon fiber has truly formed industrialization and marketization. It also marks the substantial progress in the R & D and tackling of carbon fiber in Jilin chemical fiber for more than 10 years. Over the past year, 25K, 48K and other products have achieved good results in downstream customer applications and product performance testing.
Song Dewu further indicated that product performance stability and differential production, economy and efficiency are the direction and purpose of tow development. It can truly reflect the unique advantages of low cost, versatile and high quality tow carbon fiber. Next, on the basis of maintaining the stable performance of the products, Jilin chemical fiber group will continue to integrate closely with the downstream application and design companies to promote the development of the large wire bundle carbon fiber production.
It is worth noting that the large tow carbon fiber produced by Jilin chemical fiber group has successfully opened the application market in the field of wind power. According to the briefing, Weihai development and Jilin chemical fiber group and Jilin Jinggong formed strategic partners to cooperate to verify the application of large wire carbon fiber on the carbon beam of wind power. At present, 24K carbon fiber production has been realized at 1000 tons.
Reporters in Jilin Jinggong Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. carbonation workshop saw that four or five meters high equipment arranged neatly, the whole workshop process includes wire drawing, pre oxidation, low temperature carbonization, high temperature carbonization and so on. The silver carbonization furnace neatly arranged together is very spectacular. The products inside are subjected to the need of high temperature. Miraculous changes are taking place. Carbonization furnace is the key equipment of carbonization, and carbonization is the key link to form carbon filament. "We purchased some of the large wire bundles of carbon fibers produced on this line." Pointing to the carbonization line, a representative from Weihai said.
According to reports, in 2018, low wind speed wind farms and offshore wind power jointly promoted the large-scale development of blades. With the increase of blade length, only carbon fiber can reduce both the blade quality and the stiffness of the blades. This further promotes the continuous growth of the large wire bundle carbon fiber in the wind power field, and is expected to exceed 25000 tons by 2020. Carbon fiber is mainly used in the key parts of wind turbine blades, carbon beams. Compared with FRP blades, the carbon beam can reduce weight by 12%, but it has higher rigidity and fatigue resistance, and has lower transport installation cost and maintenance cost. It can extend the service life of fans.
In 2018, China's wind turbine blades consumed more than 24K of carbon fiber about 7000 tons. It is also precisely because of the demand for wind turbine blade market. In 2018, China's two largest carbon fiber cluster in Shandong and Jiangsu ranked the top two in the consumption of tow carbon fiber, so that the top ranked Guangdong province ranked third in the long term.
In recent years, the demand for carbon fiber has increased rapidly due to the strong drive of wind power giant Vestas. Jilin has unlimited potential
The conference was held in Jilin to attract more attention to the development of the "host" carbon fiber industry.
According to introduction, in the 70s of last century, Jilin Carbon Factory built the earliest carbonization production line in China, and became the first designated production enterprise for carbon fiber in China. China Petroleum Jilin Petrochemical Co is also one of the earliest enterprises producing carbon fiber precursors and carbon filaments in China, and has developed the first production technology of carbon fiber precursor in China. Since Jilin was recognized by the Ministry of science and technology as the only state-level industrial base of high carbon fiber in China in 2010, Jilin's carbon fiber industry has entered the fast lane of development, and has been blooming in R & D and downstream applications.
From the perspective of raw materials, Jilin is the largest production base of acrylonitrile in China. At present, acrylonitrile in PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical has formed 430 thousand tons / year capacity, which can provide sufficient raw material support for the production of PAN based carbon fiber. From the point of view of energy, Jilin has abundant hydropower and thermal power, with a total power capacity of 4 million 400 thousand kilowatts, which can provide sufficient power resources for carbon fiber production. From the point of view of industrial agglomeration, the Jilin carbon fiber industrial base was built in 2009 and covers an area of 2.8 square kilometers. At present, 11.2 square kilometers of land has been planned in the Jing Kai Bei District of Jilin, which is used for the development of the whole industrial chain of carbon fiber.
At the same time, Jilin has also set up a special leading group for promoting the carbon fiber industry. The group can coordinate the 14 departments of the municipal development and reform, engineering, science and technology, finance and other related departments to solve related problems and form a joint effort to promote the development of the carbon fiber industry. In regard to the electricity tariff generally concerned by carbon fiber enterprises, Jilin has reduced the electricity price of the carbon fiber enterprises to 0.3 yuan / degree, and awarded 2 million yuan ~1000 million yuan to the landing project. In application, the automobile seat backrest products in Jilin have entered the FAW Volkswagen supporting system, and the application of thermal insulation materials in the photovoltaic industry has taken the lead in the whole country. Aerospace material parts, hard carbon composite felt, heating products, UAV and so on have been mass production.
According to Song Jiasheng, deputy director of Jilin science and Technology Bureau, the products of space camera composite fuselage structure and composite cabin of missile body structure developed by Changchun Chang Guang aerospace composite Co. are at the leading level in China. The advanced composite material satellite structure, rocket fairing and other products are at the advanced level in China.
