Gap's Sports Brand Athleta Signed Felix As The First Athlete Spokesman.

On August 1st, according to SportsPro reports, Allyson Felix, a famous American track and field athlete, has signed a multi-year cooperation agreement with Allyson, a female sports brand Athleta of Gap.

Reported that the details of the agreement have not yet been officially announced, but Felix will work with Athleta's design team to create high-performance running equipment. The brand will also be her exclusive clothing supplier, besides running shoes (Athleta has no product line yet).

Felix, who represented the US team in the four Olympic Games, won 6 gold medals and 3 silver medals. She has been a sponsor of Nike for the past 9 years, and now chooses Athleta, which is related to Nike's early exposure to "discriminate" pregnant athletes. In 2018, after Felix became pregnant, Nike said she would reduce her sponsorship by 70%.

It is worth noting that, at the time of Felix's agreement with Athleta, NPD Group, an American market research firm, valued the US women's sportswear market at US $24 billion, an increase of 3% over 2018.
