Seoul International Textile Exhibition 20 Years, 183 Enterprises In China Record

Since the beginning of this year, great changes have taken place in the world economic situation, Sino US trade frictions have intensified, and the dispute between Korea and Japan has intensified, which has cast a shadow over the world's economic and trade development.

It is gratifying to note that despite the unprecedented impact of the world trade order, the exchange of textile trade between China and South Korea has never been interrupted. Chinese businesses can be heard everywhere in Seoul's east gate, Ming Dong and other commercial areas. People engaged in textile and foreign trade also frequent frequent visits to China and South Korea, expanding new areas of textile trade between the two countries. In particular, the prospect of Sino US trade friction is uncertain, so that China's textile enterprises are seeing opportunities in Korea.

In August 28th, the Preview in SEOUL 2019 (hereinafter referred to as PIS), which was held for 3 days, was opened at the Seoul COEX Convention and Exhibition Center. The exhibition was sponsored by the Federation of Korean fiber industries. It was supported by the Ministry of industry and Commerce resources of Korea, the Seoul municipal government, the Daegu municipal government, the Gyeonggi Do government and the Korea trade and Investment Promotion Committee.

The PIS exhibition started in 2000 and coincides with 20th anniversary this year. A total of 442 exhibitors at home and abroad participated in the exhibition, occupying two COEX pavilions. The number of exhibitors and the exhibition area were the largest in the history of PIS exhibition. The 183 most prominent companies in China are participating in the PIS exhibition, which has increased by more than 60% over the previous session. Hengli Group, Sheng Hong group, Binzhou printing and dyeing and other well-known domestic enterprises appeared in the exhibition.

The Korean Fiber Industry Federation will grow into Qi and crane to attend the opening ceremony, awarding trophies and presenting flowers to enterprises or groups that have been exhibiting for more than 15 years. The guests attending the opening ceremony also watched the 20 year development of the PIS film.

According to the organizers, due to the unrestrained large-scale production and consumption, the environment for human survival is deteriorating. Therefore, the theme of this PIS exhibition is "Good-Circle", which reflects the latest global trends and the direction of development of textile and garment enterprises. In order to make our only earth a sustainable and livable planet, the world's textile fashion enterprises actively introduce 100% microbes to decompose raw materials, pure natural materials, and zero pollution technologies based on environmental protection, biotechnology and so on. This sustainable development of materials and products has also been launched in PIS.

Hyosung TNC, G-legacy, SAMSUNG CNT, Duckwoo Corporation, KAYJUNE COMPANY CO., LTD, CO., and Korea Companies show the products made of organic cotton, Tencel cotton / Modal cotton, recycled polymer, nylon and so on, and the green, environment-friendly dyeing and processing technologies are displayed. In addition, in order to improve the convenience of buyers, the exhibition organizers introduce environmental certification enterprises such as Bluesign, GRS, GOTS and sustainable development enterprises through prompts, promotional products and website indexes.

In addition, the six joint sewing robot, iron robot and other equipment that can be used in the textile and garment industry are refreshing. The production of 3D virtual clothing, wearable products and other high technology also attract many visitors.

Chinese enterprises are displaying high quality yarns, functional fabrics, accessories and other products. Green environmental protection has become a new feature, allowing Korean enterprises to have a new understanding of Chinese products.

Many Chinese enterprises say that Sino US trade friction will have a certain impact on the export of Chinese enterprises, but the Korean market is also not optimistic. In the face of the downturn of world trade, enterprises should strengthen product innovation, develop markets in a targeted way, strengthen supply chain management and control, minimize costs, and do not blindly expand production capacity.

In addition, more than 70 designers and buyers from domestic textile and garment enterprises formed buyers group, and also participated in commercial docking activities. During the exhibition, the FS Shenzhen international garment supply chain fair also held a promotion conference around the theme of "environmental analysis and solutions for Korean textile and garment enterprises to enter the Chinese market" to share the latest trends in China's textile and apparel market.

The exhibition also held conferences and seminars such as fashion trends, technology and so on. At the exhibition site, handmade production activities that transformed old objects into treasure were also launched to publicize the concept of green environmental protection. The organizers also recruited talent recruitment activities to provide a direct dialogue for enterprises and students preparing for employment, so as to solve the problem of difficulty in employment and recruitment in the textile and garment industry.
