Amazon Actively Promotes Counter Entity Store Pick Up Service, Increasing Consumer'S Nearest Pick Up Point
Amazon, the US online retail leader, announced in October 23rd (2019) October 23rd that the company's Counter entity store pickup service will work with GNC, Health Mart and Stage Stores.
Amazon launched the Counter store's pick up service in the UK and Italy in May this year, and launched this service in the United States in June this year. At present, Counter has provided the consumers with the pick up service in more than 100 Rite-Aid chain stores in the United States. It is expected to expand to 1500 branches of Rite-Aid by the end of this year.
At present, the Amazon Counter entity store pick up service does not deliver to the government, but lets consumers choose nearby physical stores to pick up goods. Amazon launched Counter entity store pick up service, aimed at developing ground transportation infrastructure and shortening delivery time. Amazon hopes to set up more Counter service locations to help delivery staff deliver more packages at the same time, improve delivery efficiency, while Amazon is still developing Amazon Lockers's delivery mode besides Counter's physical store pick up service.
Amazon has been trying to expand its store business for many years because the retailer does not have many physical stores. The company is working with Kohl's department store to enable consumers to return products to 1100 Kohl's stores in the United States. In May this year, Amazon Lockers service also increased to 200 branches of Stein Mart department store. The report points out that the chain stores that cooperate with Amazon can also benefit from this, increasing new customers and making up for the loss of Internet sales.
