US Cotton Export Weekly: Cotton Contract Signed To Reduce Shipment In China

According to the US Department of agriculture (USDA) report, on October 2019, 11-17, the amount of us land cotton export contracted in October 2019 was 31 thousand and 800 tons, a decrease of 32% compared with the previous week, a decrease of 23% compared with the previous four weeks. The main buyers were Vietnam (10 thousand and 400 tons), Pakistan (9979 tons), Turkey (2653 tons), Indonesia (1860 tons) and Thailand (1814 tons), with the abolition of contracts in Japan (68 tons) and Mexico (23 tons). 2019/20 US land cotton export volume of 33 thousand and 700 tons, 2% less than the previous week, 6% less than that of the previous four weeks, mainly shipped to Vietnam (10 thousand and 200 tons), Mexico (3697 tons), South Korea (3107 tons), China (3039 tons) and Pakistan (2767 tons). In the year of 2020/21, the amount of us land cotton export contract was 1905 tons, the main buyers were Pakistan (1202 tons) and Guatemala (476 tons).

On the 11-17 day of October 2019, 2019/20 signed 1587 tons of Pima cotton export contract, an increase of 53% over the previous week, a decrease of 1% compared with the previous four weeks. The main buyers were China (499 tons), India (408 tons), Pakistan (363 tons) and Bangladesh (227 tons). 2019/20 US Pima cotton export volume of 2517 tons, an increase of 85% over the previous week, an increase of 39% over the previous four weeks, mainly to India (1383 tons), Pakistan (340 tons), Thailand (204 tons), Turkey (181 tons), Bangladesh (181 tons).
