Sino Greek textile and apparel forum to build an exchange platform

Organized by the China Textile Industry Federation and the Greek fashion industry association and the Greek Clothing Industry Association, the first Sino Greek textile and clothing forum was held in Athens, Greece in November 11th. The number of people employed in the industry has reached 220 thousand, accounting for 20% of the total employed population in the country, and has become the textile and clothing center of southeast Europe. With the outbreak of the Greek debt crisis in 2019, the development of the textile industry in the country also suffered heavy losses. In recent years, with the stability of the Greek political situation, the economy has gradually stepped out of the shadow of recession and benefited from the advantages of Greece's high-quality cotton raw materials, the good integration of cotton textile industry and the sharing of large European markets. In the 2015-2018 years, the Greek textile and garment industry regained its momentum. In 2018, exports of textile, clothing, cotton, silk, wool and other sub sectors increased by more than 20% over the 2015 years. In 2018, there were 2500 textile and garment manufacturing enterprises in Greece. The total number of employees in the industry (including cotton farmers) reached 160 thousand, the output value was 3 billion euros, exports were 1 billion 500 million euros, and the local market textile and garment retail sales amounted to 4 billion 200 million euros. The Greek fashion industry association organizes the Athens fashion show every year, and organizes member enterprises to participate in the famous foreign textile and garment exhibitions and bilateral and multilateral industry exchange activities to help the Greek textile and garment enterprises to develop the international market and enhance their competitiveness. At the same time, the continuous development of Greek multi product products has added momentum to the development of the textile industry in the country.

It has launched 2000 models and 1 million garments each year. It mainly produces cooperation with suppliers from China, India, Turkey, Greece and Portugal. Brand pays attention to design and cost performance, and provides high quality and competitive products for target customers. The brand also hopes to enter the big market of China and achieve broader development space. ZEUS+DION is a high-end fashion women's brand of silk and linen. The company has been established for seven years and employs 80 people. It is the family business of the Deputy Prime Minister's wife. Most of its products are hand-made, and the brand is dedicated to inheriting Greek silk and fashion culture. The general manager of the brand presented a group of exquisite new garments to the delegation, with exquisite workmanship and fashion sense. At present, the brand is not only sold in the Greek market, but also exported to Japan and the United States.

Although the industry research and cooperation negotiations have ended, the complementary deep cooperation between the two countries has just set sail.
