Tmall International Starts Cross Border Cold Chain Service To Start Domestic Retail Of Artificial Meat
This year, "black Friday", artificial meat has really entered the daily table of ordinary people. In November 25th, Tmall International launched the cross-border cold chain service in the "black five" shopping season, and started the retail version of artificial meat in China. Chinese consumers can directly purchase artificial meat for the first time, and personally cook and taste the world's most popular technology food.
"Black Friday" is the annual big Christmas promotion season in Europe and the United States. Many people will rush to buy imported discounted goods in "black five". Now, with the continuous upgrading of Tmall international cross-border electricity business, Chinese consumers can easily buy global imports of goods without staying in the complex and sea. In October 25th, Tmall international officially opened the "black five" Carnival. A total of more than 70 countries, including Europe, America, Japan and South Korea, participated in more than 2500 popular brands, of which more than 40 famous brands will start new products.
This year, Tmall International launched the cross-border cold chain service in "black five" to further help overseas businesses bring rich short warranty and fresh cold chain food into the Chinese market. The first batch of products in addition to the retail version of artificial meat, as well as plant chicken nuggets, Swedish plant ice cream, raw chocolate, California fresh milk. In the future, Tmall international will expand cheese, butter, frozen food and other cold chain products.
It is understood that Tmall international cross-border cold chain goods from overseas business warehouse, cold chain transport to bonded warehouse, consumers can order a few seconds after customs clearance, the fastest day can reach consumers. The whole process of temperature control and refrigeration can be monitored and traceable, providing consumers with reliable fresh commodity protection.
Data show that in recent years, the overall market size of China's cold chain business has steadily increased. In 2018, the market size has exceeded 200 billion, the growth rate is 41.2%, and the market size in 2019 is expected to exceed 280 billion yuan. The monthly active users of the cold chain business have also increased significantly. The proportion of young consumers under 35 is over 8.
"Consumers' demand for fresh and short shelf life abroad is growing." Tmall Yu, the head of Tmall international food industry, said that the cross border cold chain supply chain management requirements are higher than that of general products. "Tmall international relies on rookie strong logistics and distribution system, Alibaba data and technology system empowerment, as well as active import and consumption groups, and has natural advantages in Cross-border cold chain services."
