US Apparel Brand American Eagle Will Withdraw From Japanese Market
Following the "full line" withdrawal from the British market in 2017, the US clothing brand American Eagle once again made the decision to withdraw from the Japanese market.
American Eagle will close all the stores in Japan by the end of December, and the Japanese electricity supplier website will be closed in December 31st.

Two years later, American Eagle Outfitters group achieved a super expected growth in the first quarter, rising 8% to 886 million dollars in revenue and 2% to 40 million 700 thousand dollars in net profit in the first quarter, which has achieved positive growth for seventeenth consecutive quarters. In this case, American Eagle has shifted its focus to the field of business clothing because of its Japanese market franchisee Aoyama trading company. Aoyama has terminated its cooperation with American Eagle and Aerie.
Aoyama trading company jointly established Eagle Retailing with Sumikin Bussan group in 2010, and is a franchisee of American Eagle and underwear brand Aerie Japan business.
