    Us 300 billion tariff increases

    In August 13th, the US Trade Representative Office (USTR) announced the next plan to levy 10% tariffs on Chinese imports of about US $300 billion, and decided to postpone the tariff of some commodities to December 15th.

    These products include mobile phones, notebook computers, game machines, some toys, computer monitors, some clothes, shoes and hats. According to the 300 billion tax increase list, the scale of the commodity accounts for about 59% of the 300 billion list commodities.

    China intends to levy tariffs on us and Canada

    Since December 15th, tariffs of 10% or 5% have been imposed on 3361 commodity items originating in the United States.

    In accordance with the notice of the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council on the Levy of duties on some imported commodities originating in the United States (the third batch), the Tax Commission's Announcement No. 2019] 4, since December 15, 2019, at 12 hours and 01 points, it has imposed 10% duties on 749 items of tax goods listed in the first part of Annex 2, and has imposed a tax on 163 items of tax items listed in the 2 second part of the annex.     Saudi Arabia SABER certification list added in December


    Saudi Arabia has announced a new batch of products that need SABER certification, namely:

    • Textiles, such as silk, wool, cotton and cloth.

    • Trailers and semi trailers;

    • Detergents, surfactants and soaps, such as liquid glass cleaner, liquid detergent, disinfectant;

    • Solar power system products and components, such as photovoltaic modules, cables and connectors.


    January 2020

    • Permanently or temporarily placed equipment, machinery and structures in the city;

    • Adhesives and glue products, such as structural adhesives, Leather Adhesives, footwear adhesives, wood products adhesives, paper adhesives, packaging adhesives and so on;

    • Manufacture of plastic metal products for decoration, such as hair, hand and neck ornaments;

    • Plastic and metal piping systems for transporting water and power facilities, buildings and fittings;

    • Wireless communication devices, such as mobile phones, earphones, intelligent equipment, etc.

    • Packaging products, paper, paperboard, wood, plastic, textiles and other materials for packaging;

    • Materials and surfaces that are in contact with food, such as cooking equipment, tableware, food packaging materials and containers.

    • Shoes made of mixtures of leather, textiles, plastics or these materials;

    • Equipment and accessories such as fire extinguishers and pressure cookers working under pressure.

    • Fire products, such as fire extinguishers, alarm systems and fire hoses.

    • Fireworks products, such as firecrackers and fireworks.


    Vietnam Customs issued 8 measures to crack down on washing areas

    3, conduct training in civil service formalities to enhance inspection, detect fraud and illegal transshipment.


    4, applying various risk management measures, such as collecting and analyzing domestic and foreign information to identify goods with high risk origin fraud, goods labeling and counterfeiting and intellectual property infringement, and adopting various business measures to check, investigate and confirm all illegal activities. Inspecting and determining the volume and volume of imports and exports that are higher than the production capacity and scale, so as to collect and analyze information and decide to check, confirm and investigate the signs of violation.


    5, the customs plans to inspect and confirm the specific product industries, such as imported synthetic boards, wooden flooring, bicycles and electric bicycles. We should strengthen the inspection and inspection of products after clearance, so as to find out the illegal activities.


    6, organize seminars on the origin of goods, strengthen the inspection and discovery ability of customs officers for fraud, so as to strengthen publicity, guidance to the origin of goods, prevent fraud, counterfeiting and illegal transshipment. At the same time, we will also report on customs detection and handling cases in conjunction with media publicity and reporting on measures to prevent fraud, counterfeit goods and illegal transshipment.


    7, cooperate with relevant departments, such as the Ministry of Commerce and industry, and the Federation of Vietnamese chambers of Commerce and industry. Cooperate with various associations to evaluate the production and export capacity of various industries, and strictly investigate imports and exports of sudden increase of goods. In addition, the General Administration of Customs recommends that ministries and departments improve the legal basis.


    8, strengthen international cooperation through information exchange in preventing fraud, counterfeiting and illegal transshipment in origin. In collaboration with the European anti fraud Office (OLAF), it has identified fraud behaviors of some products, such as solar panels, color steel plates, prawn, white shrimp, bicycles, electric bicycles and solar cells.


    Indonesia's textile products impose a maximum tariff of 67%.
