The media noted that the conference also talked about the issues related to rural electricity providers. Wang Bin pointed out that during the fight against the epidemic, many peasant friends opened up contactless sales channels through various electronic business platforms and logistics networks, and transformed themselves into "online hosts" for online sales in order to hedge the impact of the epidemic.

Wang Bin also released a set of relevant data: in 2019, the national retail sales of agricultural products reached 397 billion 500 million yuan, an increase of 1.5 times compared to 2016. There are more than 15 billion express delivery in rural areas, accounting for more than 20% of the total national express business. Up to now, the number of rural Internet dealers in the country has exceeded 1300, attracting a large number of migrant workers, college students and veterans to start their own businesses. Last year and two consecutive years this year, the State Council brought 20 typical counties and cities with outstanding achievements in developing rural electricity providers into a typical incentive range.

At the same time, in the face of the lack of professional talents, weak industrial foundation and relatively high logistics cost in the development of rural electric business, Wang Bin said that the Ministry of Commerce will promote a number of work, including strengthening the training of rural electric business talents, improving the rural circulation network system, strengthening the infrastructure construction of rural and rural areas, and promoting the transformation and upgrading of township business.
