Chongqing Industrial Museum Added "Cotton And Cotton Journey"

Recently, an exhibition of "cotton and cotton trip" was added to the Chongqing Industrial Museum.

The "cotton and cotton Tour" focuses on a cotton deformable tour. With the 16 textile machinery and equipment and 7 pieces / fittings as the carrier of the fourth cotton textile production line in the 60-90 century of twentieth Century, the whole production process was basically restored, which completely reflected the production process of the textile industry, and witnessed the development of the cotton textile industry in Chongqing during the period of the war of resistance against Japan and two times of industrial agglomeration after the founding of the PRC. After flourishing opportunities, in the 60-80 century of last century, it became a glorious history of Chongqing's important pillar industries.

"Cotton and cotton journey" is located in the third indoor and outdoor public space of the old industrial building of Chongqing Industrial Museum, which is adjacent to the main exhibition hall of Chongqing Industrial Museum. It is an important part of the exhibition system of Pan Museum. The overall style of the space is integrated with industrial sites, forming a relatively independent exhibition space, restoring tangible and authentic traces of industrial historical memory and aesthetic appreciation of industrial art interpretation space, and moving into interactive industrial taste experience venues, which increases the sense of industry, history and participation in the whole environment.

The exhibits are displayed in indoor and outdoor public spaces, and natural lighting is used to decorate the sculptures of leaves and cotton trees. The exhibition space is different from the ordinary room. At the height of thirteen meters, it creates a free industrial forest.

The exhibition takes sculptural sculpture and machine equipment as the main body to deconstruct the space, and use art devices and interactive devices to create scenes, create a strong artistic atmosphere, and expand the artistic layout of the exhibition. It also integrates the image of IP, with both fun and taste. Every place that is clever and clever can stimulate the audience's desire to punch cards. The whole exhibition has clear clues, innovative design and unique originality. Knowledge, interest, popularity and experience are suitable for young people to study and learn.

The exhibition is equipped with interactive multimedia equipment to store relaxed knowledge of science and technology. The audience can use the touch screen to spell out the complete textile equipment in the exhibition, understand the structure of the textile machinery, and answer questions related to the textile industry, textile machinery and equipment, textile raw materials and so on, accumulate knowledge, win prizes, and entertaining.

The four heavy cotton plant was formerly the Hechuan branch factory of Yufeng cotton mill in the period of the Republic of China. During the war of resistance against Japan, the factory bombed the enemy aircraft and produced a large quantity of cotton yarn to support the front line, which made a positive contribution to the victory of the war of resistance against Japan.

In February 1938, in order to meet the needs of the war of resistance against Japan, the national government moved Yu Feng yarn mill from Zhengzhou to Chongqing Xiaolong Kan Tu Wan, named Yu Feng Textile Company Chongqing branch. In 1940, the Chongqing branch was bombed by Japanese planes. In September, 600 mu of land was purchased in Dongjin Tuo, Hechuan.

In December 8, 1949, when Hechuan was liberated, the people's government took over the Hechuan branch factory of Yufeng and hutchyard mill, and the factory was transformed from bureaucrat capital into a wholly owned enterprise. It was changed to "611 textile mill" in 1951. In 1959, it was renamed "611 cotton mill". In 1963, it was renamed "Hechuan cotton mill". In 1966, it was renamed "Chongqing worker peasant cotton mill". In 1969, it was renamed "Chongqing fourth cotton mill" until the beginning of this century.

Nowadays, no one knows about the huge noise in the textile mill, and no one knows that the four factories of the "heavy cotton mill" were large enough to "probably have relatives who worked in four factories in Hechuan." Although the four cotton plant has completed its historical mission, the history and spirit it carries will be extended in Chongqing Industrial Museum.
