Textile Imports In Kyrgyzstan Declined And Export Growth Increased In 1-2 Months.

According to Kyrgyzstan Tazabek.kg website reported on April 28th, according to the Eurasian Economic Commission data, affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the total import volume of Kyrgyzstan in 2020 1-2 was 328 million US dollars, down 21.2% from the same period last year, except for the large increase in the import of food and agricultural products (14.7%), and other kinds of commodities declined sharply, of which the import of leather goods decreased by 64.3% and metals compared with the same period last year. Its products decreased by 56.7%, textiles decreased by 29.4%, wood and pulp decreased by 19.9%, chemical products decreased by 19.3%, mineral products dropped by 16%, machinery and equipment and vehicles decreased by 6.9%.

In 2020 1-2, Kyrgyzstan's total export volume was US $200 million, an increase of 24.2% over the same period last year, mainly relying on the growth of mineral products and textile exports. Of them, the export of mineral products increased by 18.6% compared with the same period last year, and the textile grew by 73.1%.
