In 2020 1-5, the total value of China's trade and imports and exports was 11 trillion and 540 billion yuan, down 4.9% from the same period last year. China exports 6 trillion and 200 billion, down 6.2% compared to the same period, and imports 5 trillion and 340 billion yuan, down 5.2% compared with the same period last year.

In the first five months, China's trade import and export have the following characteristics: first, the growth of ASEAN's imports and exports remains the largest trade partnership between China and the EU; the import and export of EU, the United States and Japan are less than that of the same period last year; two, the import and export of private enterprises is 5 trillion and 110 billion yuan, accounting for 44.3% of total foreign trade, showing a growth trend; and three, textile export growth. In 1-5 months, China's exports of textiles including masks were 406 billion 660 million yuan, an increase of 25.5%. Four, the export volume of clothing is falling considerably. Clothing exports 267 billion 810 million yuan, down 20,3% over the same period.

During the epidemic period, the export of China's epidemic prevention materials increased significantly, which had a significant buffer effect on the overall export decline. As a big exporter of clothing, the impact of the epidemic was larger.
