National cotton market monitoring system Henan Nanyang monitoring station correspondents learned that after the double festival, Nanyang cotton picking, selling, price and cotton enterprises purchasing situation are in general. At present, the local seed cotton picking rate is nearly half, but the seed cotton sales rate is less than 10%. In the case of the rising seed cotton price, cotton farmers began to be reluctant to sell, while cotton enterprises, because of the rapid rise in seed cotton prices, have decreased their confidence in purchasing and increased the number of onlookers. At the same time, lint prices continue to rise, but the textile enterprise procurement is not large-scale, mostly to inquiry wait-and-see, resulting in market price without market.

According to the survey, the number of seed cotton picked by local cotton farmers was mostly 500-800 kg, accounting for about 50% of the estimated output, which was basically the same as that of the same period last year; the quality of seed cotton decreased year on year, mainly due to the rainy days in the early stage and cloudy days in the near future, which affected the seed cotton grade; the yield also decreased, the seed cotton coat percentage was mostly 38-39%, the length was about 28mm, and the seed cotton grade was mostly 1228 grade and a small amount of 3128 grade.

At present, the purchase price of seed cotton is mainly textile flower purchase, which is 3.23-3.28 yuan / kg, up 0.10 yuan / Jin compared with that before the festival. However, there is still a gap with the expectation of cotton farmers. Cotton farmers are not active in selling, so they mainly wait and see. However, due to the rising purchase price of seed cotton, the confidence of purchasing decreased, and the purchase quantity was reduced. The purchase market of seed cotton fell into a deadlock, and the daily purchase volume of seed cotton of local cotton enterprises was less than 10 tons.
