Jinghe textile is the largest enterprise in Xinjiang aided by Beijing in the whole Hotan region. Walking into the workshop, the workers are busy making tents. At the beginning, Jinghe textile came to Hetian to solve the local employment problem and help the local people get rid of poverty.

Hotan's industrial base is weak, and a large number of labor can not be employed in the local area. In 2016, 35 managers and technical workers of Jinghe textile came to Hetian from Beijing to build a new modern chemical factory on the Gobi desert, becoming the first industrial textile production base in Xinjiang.

Bringing a factory from Beijing to Hotan brings real gold, silver and true feelings. "At the beginning of the year, we have been working with the local people to get rid of poverty." Jinghe textile Chairman Huang Xuejun said.

In Beijing and textile, the average monthly wage of workers is about 3000 yuan. If you have worked for one year, you can still get the length of service subsidy every month. If you have worked for one year, you can get 200 yuan. Today, many workers have been able to get 600 yuan per month.

One person employment, the whole family out of poverty. The arrival of Jinghe textile has brought great changes to the life of local people. Huang Xuejun said that since it was put into production in 2016, local villagers have often sent walnuts, jujubes and brocade banners to thank Beijing for sending good projects to help them get rid of poverty and become rich. Over the past few years, more than 360 poverty-stricken households have worked in Beijing and textile industry. Now they have not only lifted themselves out of poverty, but also bought cars.

By the end of 2019, RMB 13.59 billion has been invested in the development of Xinjiang industries. The funds focused on supporting the construction of industrial parks and supporting infrastructure, standardized workshops and agricultural facilities greenhouses, as well as labor training and employment transfer projects. A total of 54700 jobs were provided and 135700 people were lifted out of poverty. The implementation of good projects has not only improved the economic conditions, but also changed the thinking of the local people, from "helping me out of poverty" to "I want to get rid of poverty".

In YILIQI Township, Hotan City, the local Guangming breeding professional cooperative used more than 1.6 million yuan from Beijing to build two new pigeon houses. The pigeons bred here can be sold in 40 days and sold to the market for more than 20 yuan. At least 7 crops can be produced a year. The profit is very considerable. Liu Guangming, head of the cooperative, said that in addition to providing 10 jobs for poor families, the cooperative also supported pigeons from 64 poor households. Poor households can work alone in the future by learning skills while working in cooperatives.

"Hotan people like to eat pigeons. Pigeons are in short supply in the night market. I think raising pigeons will make money."
