There are also many livestock breeding industries in Guangdong. In order to keep the stock rate of livestock at a certain height, antibiotics are used. However, antibiotics remain in the body of these livestock, which will harm the food safety of consumers after entering the market. Later, the state promulgated a law banning the use of antibiotics. As a result, the aquaculture industry suffered a devastating blow.

Guangdong Pharmaceutical University through the study of Citrus found that enzymes can be extracted from citrus, and these enzymes can be used as substitutes for antibiotics.
