From July To November, Pakistan'S Textile Exports Increased By 4.88% Year On Year

According to Pakistan's Daily Times on December 22, according to the latest data of Pakistan's Bureau of Statistics (PBS), textile exports from July to November reached 6.045 billion US dollars, an increase of 4.88% year-on-year. Among them, knitwear increased by 14.34% to US $1.51 billion, bedding increased by 12.28%, towel export increased by 14.24%, and clothing export increased by 4.36% to 1.205 billion US dollars. At the same time, the export volume of raw cotton, cotton yarn, cotton cloth and other primary products decreased significantly, of which raw cotton decreased the most, reaching 96.34%, while cotton exports also fell by 8.73%, from $847 million To $773 million. In addition, textile exports in November increased by 9.27% year-on-year, with the export volume of 1.286 billion US dollars.

Pakistan is the world's fourth largest cotton producer, the fourth largest textile producer and the twelfth largest textile exporter. Textile industry is the most important pillar industry and the largest export industry in Pakistan. Pakistan plans to attract 7 billion US dollars of investment in the next five years, increasing the export volume of textiles and clothing by 100% to 26 billion US dollars.
