Sun Ruizhe: The Main Indicators Of China'S Textile Power Have Been Basically Achieved

Sun Ruizhe, President of China Textile Industry Federation, pointed out at the annual work summary meeting on the 22nd that at present, the main indicators of China's textile power have been basically achieved, and high-quality development has taken a new step forward.

Sun Ruizhe said that in 2020, China's textile industry will maintain its development momentum in keeping integrity and innovation, continuously consolidate the industry's manufacturing foundation, accelerate the transformation of digital, green and lean industries, and continuously emerge new formats such as direct broadcast economy.

China's textile industry radiates market vitality in self-reliance and cooperation. With domestic demand as the strategic basis point, the adaptability and synergy between the industrial supply system and the internal and external markets have been continuously improved. From January to November 2020, the retail sales of clothing, footwear, knitwear and textiles of units above the national quota decreased by 4.5 percentage points compared with the previous three quarters. The domestic circulation drives the international circulation, and the industrial resources realize the optimal import and export.

At the same time, sun Ruizhe reminded that China's textile industry is under real pressure in the differentiation and fluctuation. The uncertainty of the external environment is still high, and the industrial recovery foundation is not firm. From January to November 2020, the total profit of industrial textile industry increased by 218.6% year-on-year, and the total profit of home textile industry increased by 21.7%. However, on the whole, the operating income, total profit and fixed assets investment completion of textile enterprises above designated size decreased by 9.7%, 8.6% and 18% respectively year-on-year. The balance and stability of industrial recovery are facing challenges.
