Wuhan Textile University Organizes International Students To Watch Films And Feel The Achievements Of China'S Poverty Alleviation

In order to help international students have a more comprehensive understanding of China's poverty alleviation cause and better understand China and the Chinese people, the school of international education of Wuhan Textile University organized a film viewing activity on March 5, in which 130 international students from 21 countries attended the lecture and watched the film "mountain" shot by Xiao Shuguang, an advanced individual in poverty alleviation in China Lu shibawan, which enables international students to have a deeper sense of China's achievements in poverty alleviation.

It is understood that the international students participating in the activity are from Wuhan Textile University, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Hubei University of economics. The activity adopts a combination of online and offline methods, including 90 online students and 40 on-site students.

As the archetype of the hero in the film, Xiao Shuguang is now the first secretary and poverty alleviation team leader of hongqiping village, Wantan Town, Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, Yichang city. The film "Eighteen bays on mountain road" is based on Xiao Shuguang's story. Before watching the film, Xiao Shuguang and his foreign alumni shared three years' experience of poverty alleviation by cadres, social caring people and people's poverty alleviation. They also shared the joy and emotion of participating in the national poverty alleviation summary and commendation conference, and introduced the great changes in hongqiping village in recent years.

Xiao Shuguang is not only the Secretary of the village's first branch in the village, "China's good man", a model of Jingchu, and an advanced individual in poverty alleviation. He is also an alumnus of Wuhan Textile University. He has been employed as an "international preacher of China story" in the school of International Education of the University. It is reported that in the past four years, Wuhan Textile University has established close ties with hongqiping village, and has organized nearly 50 backbone international students of three grades in four consecutive batches to visit hongqiping village, Wantan Town, Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, Hubei Province, to carry out the social practice activity of "perceiving China, overcoming poverty".
