New Technology: UK Launches New Textile Material Lean Ball

A new type of inflatable textile leaning ball for yacht market is listed in the UK.

It is reported that fendertex is the only manufacturer of inflatable textile materials for the yacht market. Its product range includes berthing balls for small and medium-sized yachts and Super Yachts, protecting the hull during berthing, and safety fenders for docks, pontoons or ships to ensure safe berthing.

"Fendertex is a very new product that has recently been launched in the UK," said James Kershaw, sales manager at Seaview progress, which is fendertex's only distributor in the UK. "It depends on how you look at the product, fendertex can be very easy to explain, it can be very complex, but one thing is for sure, it's unique in the market, because fendertex is the only knitwear available on the market right now."

More convenient storage

Storage of the traditional ball is often a problem on yachts. Once deflated and rolled up, fendertex's cushions are 95% smaller than traditional PVC ones and 50% smaller than other inflatable ones on the market, which means they can be stored more easily in lockers.

The standard series offers cylindrical, spherical and tandem leaning balls. The shell is made of single engineering fabric, which is 95% lighter than PVC and 40% lighter than other inflatable berthing balls. It can be customized according to the name of the ship or other designs. Accessories include ball cover, sheath D-ring, braided wire, flat wire, rope and pump.
