Investigation | Cotton Textile Industry In Hunan Province

From July 20 to 22, 2021, Zheng Jiewen, vice president of China Cotton Textile Industry Association, and his party visited Huarong cotton textile industry cluster and Xiangtan area of Hunan Province, and held talks and exchanges with relevant responsible persons of Huarong County Bureau of industry and information technology, management committee of high tech Industrial Development Zone and representatives of key enterprises.

Huarong County has been awarded the title of "China's famous cotton textile city" since 2012. Through years of development, the spinning scale has exceeded 1 million spindles and the yarn output is more than 200000 tons, forming Shifu Ecological Textile Industrial Park and yangjiaqiao innovation and entrepreneurship Park. In 2020, the total output value of the county's textile industry is about 15 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth rate of more than 15% in the first half of 2021.

Huarong County Party committee and county government adhere to high-level promotion and service linkage, study and issue relevant policy documents, so as to broaden the space for the development of advantageous industrial chain. The goal of seizing the "commanding height" has been formulated, and the landmark textile and garment industry cluster and the textile industry intelligent manufacturing demonstration base have been built. At the same time, we will adhere to the standard and improve the overall planning and design; Encourage enterprise brand creation and technological innovation; Strengthen strategic cooperation with the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.

It is understood that the enterprises in the cluster mainly produce high-end knitting combed yarn and denim yarn, and they are mainly engaged in order production, with less product inventory and about 2 months' stock of raw materials. Although the current market situation is good, there are still some difficulties, such as rising prices of cotton and other major raw materials, increasing production and construction costs, and the impact of the epidemic on exports. In this regard, enterprises maintain a certain sense of risk, pay attention to market changes at any time, and better grasp the business direction and production rhythm.

From the perspective of future development, enterprises are speeding up the transformation and upgrading, actively building intelligent chemical plants, continuously strengthening quality management, improving product quality, optimizing order structure, and carrying out in-depth thinking and long-term planning in green manufacturing, energy conservation and emission reduction, sustainable development, etc.
